Recap: Packers Down Lions and Division Shapes Up
The Green Bay Packers scraped out a 34-27 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Despite Aaron Rodgers’ four touchdowns, it wasn’t particularly pretty.
Is a win a win? Sure, but not all wins are created equal.
We’re going to break down Rodgers’ performance. Still not impressed.
We’re also going to look at the re-emergence of Jordy Nelson, the change-up with the Packers offense, Eddie Lacy’s big day and, probably most importantly, the flow.
It’s all about flow, you know?
Defensively, it was good and bad. Nick Perry sent notice that he’s going to earn himself a fat, new contract this year.
The secondary was once again terrible, but the guy you think is at fault may not actually be the guy (totally) at fault. And hey, how about that Jake Ryan guy?
Maybe we were wrong about him.
Finally, it’s time to shape up the division. We’re going to begrudgingly give credit where credit is due because we may have underestimated someone.
Dammit! Get to it.
