Packers Bring It Home, Playoff Outlook & the GM Job

Aaron Rodgers

So much going on this week! The Green Bay Packers have vanquished the Detroit Lions for the NFC North title, they’ve punched their playoff ticket and saved their season.

They can largely thank one man for that — Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers, who we have rightfully criticized earlier this season, has his mojo back. What’s the big difference for QB1? It’s confidence. He has it and the playoff field should be wary so long as that’s the case.

Another guy who appears to be at the top of his game is a guy we — or maybe just I — like to flog as often as possible. That’s right, we’re actually going to give up some props to the Buffoon for a change.

So what lies ahead for the Green Bay Packers?

Well, not much if their secondary has anything to say about it. We will of course discuss that train wreck, as well as the one guy who might be able to help the situation.

Finally, we’ve got some thoughts on the general manager situation. There’s a good chance Eliot Wolf will be out the door if he isn’t given the top job in Green Bay this year. That’s potential bad news for the Packers.

If Wolf does leave, we have some ideas about who might eventually replace Ted Thompson, who — much to my chagrin — probably isn’t going anywhere for a while.

You know what to do!
