Former Green Bay Packers linebacker Brady Poppinga was on Wilde And Tausch on Thursday and he had a bit of criticism for current Packers linebacker Kyler Fackrell.
Fackrell has been a disappointment since being drafted in the third round in 2016. He has just five career sacks and he didn’t even play in the Packers’ week 1 win.
On the show, Poppinga suggested he could come out of retirement and beat out Fackrell as a backup.
.@BradyPoppinga: "I could trot out onto the field – with my old (number) 51- and beat out Kyler Fackrell in a second as a backup outside backer on the #Packers."
The Super Bowl Champion also tells a story about working out with Vince Biegel this off-season.

Harsh.
We doubt Poppinga is beating out anyone at this point. He last played in 2012.
Still, point taken. Fackrell isn’t very good. He didn’t show anything this preseason and the fact that he didn’t play in week 1 suggests the coaching staff doesn’t think much him either.
The problem the Packers have is they don’t have much depth at outside linebacker. That’s kept Fackrell around to this point. Behind Clay Matthews and Nick Perry, the only other player is Reggie Gilbert. He did see action against the Bears.
