This will be the longest tenured coach the Packers are losing during this off season – he was also recently promoted to run game coordinator in 2018. Campen has roots with the Packers but he also has connections with Cleveland Browns GM and former Packer John Dorsey. As a 4th round pick by the Packers in the 1984 NFL Draft, Dorsey still holds the Packers team record with 35 special teams tackles in 1985. Campen has led many lineman from the Packers to become Pro Bowl selections. He will take the position of Associate Head Coach with the Cleveland Browns.
James Campen will become the Cleveland Browns associate head coach/offensive line coach, according to league sources. So the Packers are losing their longest-tenured assistant coach. New Packers coach Matt LaFleur will hire a new line coach. https://t.co/bbrYD46fUM

Campen’s bell has finally tolled. As fun as it is to make fun of the Cleveland Browns, they seem to be headed in the right direction relative to their past. We’ll see how well he adapts after such a long tenure with Green Bay.
