Family Night strikes again.
It was only five years ago that tackle Bryan Bulaga tore his ACL on Family Night. This year, we’ve got perhaps the best left tackle in the game getting carted off. That was the fate of David Bakhtiari on Saturday evening.
Bakhtiari is the third Packers player to get carted off of a field in the past week. Both linebacker Jake Ryan and safety Kentrell Brice got carted off on Monday.
Ryan has a torn ACL and is done for the year. Brice is expected to return. It appears Bakhtiari will fall into the latter category, thankfully.
There has been little to no information to come out about the injury, but the guy that plays next to him — left guard Lane Taylor — says it should be fine.
“I think he said he got his foot caught underneath him,” Taylor said. “Not 100 percent sure, but I’m sure he’ll be fine.”
And here it is from an actual source.
#Packers LT David Bakhtiari, carted away from practice last night with his shoe off, suffered just a sprained left ankle, source said. He’ll miss some practice time, but it doesn’t sound too serious.
