Apparently, Green Bay Packers rookie cornerback Jaire Alexander is getting a little chatty with quarterback Aaron Rodgers in practice.
Rodgers talked about Alexander and fellow rookie Josh Jackson after OTAs on Monday. Alexander likes to talk some trash, which prompted this comment from Rodgers.
Early thoughts on Jaire Alexander & Josh Jackson…
“Yeah they’re talking a lot, so, I’m going to dice them up a little bit once we get down to it” — Aaron Rodgers pic.twitter.com/y1KMpxDTKU

This was the full response, in which Rodgers went on to praise Alexander and Jackson.
“They’re talking a lot,” Rodgers said, “so I’m going to have to dice them up once we get down to it. No, I like to see the confidence, I really do. That’s how you want your corners to play, with that swagger, that confidence. [Alexander] is a little louder than [Jackson] is, but it’s fun to look on the other side of the ball and see those guys making plays.”
Rodgers also said he believes the cornerback position has gone from a need to a strength for the Packers.
QB1 also had high praise for veteran corner Tramon Williams this week. Rodgers said he thinks Williams is the best player on the defense.
It will be interesting to see how the starting lineup in the defensive backfield works out when we get to training camp. If I’m betting, I see Williams and Kevin King on the outside with Alexander in the slot. Surely, Jackson will have something to say about that, though.
