This is the year, man! This is the year the Green Bay Packers commit to running the football.
Oh, you’ve heard this one before?
Sorry, you’re right. You hear it every year. Packers coach Mike McCarthy insists his team is committed to the running game, that running the football is key to the team’s success. And then they throw 40 times a game.
You don’t have to look far. Last season, McCarthy insisted that the Packers needed to run the football more. Despite that proclamation, the team’s No. 1 running back, Ty Montgomery, was never handed the ball more than 16 times in a game. In fact, his number of carries were fewer than 10 in all but one game in 2016.
It was the same when Eddie Lacy was the man.
“We’re going to run the football!”
Here are 12 carries, Ed.
This pretty much sums it up.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!
Hold on for a moment…
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
The indignant look? The inclusion of “damn” in the answer.
I mean, it’s just completely perfect.
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure you are, Fat Mike. Sure you are!
