Super Bowl LII is being held in Minneapolis at the Minnesota Vikings recently-built stadium. The Green Bay Packers would very much like to be there and team president Mark Murphy suggested they would be, at the shareholders’ meeting on Monday.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun for all of our fans to drive across the state for the Super Bowl,” Murphy said.
While that’s short of a guarantee, the suggestion is clear. The Packers will be playing in the game.
And wouldn’t it be sweet to do something on the Vikings’ home field that they have never done (or will ever do) — win a Super Bowl?
Naturally, Murphy was quick to walk back his comment when asked about it after the meeting.
Murphy on #Packers in Minny SB: It was not a guarantee. It would just be nice. The new stadium is spectacular. It will be a great Super Bowl

Wouldn’t want to say anything that could be construed as controversial, right Mark?
