No surprise here. No surprise at all.
Linebacker Julius Peppers signed with the Carolina Panthers earlier this week and a lot of Green Bay Packers fans were ticked.
We explained why they shouldn’t be here.
Regardless of whether you’re angry about Peppers’ departure or not, we do know the Packers don’t care one iota.
Meanwhile, in non-TE news, a league source said this evening that as with Micah Hyde, #Packers never made Julius Peppers an offer.

We knew it would play out this way.
In fact, I would suggest Peppers is going back to Carolina on a victory tour. Home state boy made good, here’s your reward.
And frankly, good for him.
No ill will for Julie. He deserves a goddam victory tour as one of the game’s all-time greats (and imagine if he actually tried hard).
Julius Peppers gave the Packers three good years at the end of his career. He wasn’t going to give them a fourth. He isn’t giving anyone a fourth.
We saw the diminishing returns on the field in 2016. The only thing I will feel bad about is the Packers didn’t win a Super Bowl with him.
I would have loved to see Julie go out with a title.
Julius Peppers can feel free to punch Ted Thompson in the face for that shortcoming.
