The Super Bowl is over, so we’ve got to have some odds for next year’s game. That’s just how it works. Not surprisingly, the Green Bay Packers have the third-best odds for Super Bowl LII, which will be right over in Minnesota.
Odds to Win Super Bowl 52 (via @BovadaLV):
New England Patriots: 5-1
Dallas Cowboys: 9-1
Green Bay Packers: 9-1
Pittsburgh Steelers: 12-1— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) February 6, 2017
Personally, I think it’s crazy to try to gauge an NFL team before free agency or the draft. Of course, we know the Packers will do nothing in the former, so it’s really just the latter that matters in this case.
The numbers have actually changed a bit since these were released. However, the teams remain in the same order and there are really no surprises at the top. The Patriots, Packers and Steelers are always at the top of this list at this time.
The Cowboys are obviously the newcomer, but based on their 2016 season, how can you argue?
The rest of the NFC North stacks up like this. The are at Minnesota Vikings 20/1, the Detroit Lions are at 50/1 and the Chicago Bears bring up the rear at 100/1. The 49ers, Browns and Jets are tied with Chicago for the worst odds.
That might have something to do with their quarterback situations.
