Well, your dreams of the Green Bay Packers bringing Jermichael Finley back have sadly, crashed and burned.
Even though everyone else already knew he was retired, Finley apparently just realized that. He went ahead and dropped that bit of information on Monday.
Not that it's a big surprise, not that a different result was expected, but former Packers TE Jermichael Finley officially has retired.

Finley hasn’t played since 2013, when he suffered a neck injury in the season’s sixth game.
He had cervical fusion surgery and eventually started a free agent tour late in the summer of 2014. While Finley claimed he had offers, he also said those offers weren’t lucrative enough, which is probably because he was overvaluing himself.
Instead of taking one of these supposed offers, Finley decided to sit out the season and collect on a $10 million insurance policy.
We’re not sure if he legitimately thought a team would sign him for the 2015 season or even cared, but we went through an offseason where no one mentioned the name Jermichael Finley once.
And now that he’s officially retired, we imagine it will remain that way.
Finley had 223 receptions for 2,785 yards and 20 touchdowns in his six-year Packers career.
