We figured the Green Bay Packers re-signing B.J. Raji — if they so chose — was a foregone conclusion.
After all, Raji went through this very drill last offseason. Following a season that could best be described as total garbage, Raji entered free agency and heard the deafening sounds of silence.
He ended up returning to the Packers on a one-year, $4 million deal. Then he suffered an arm injury in the preseason and spent the entire 2014 campaign on injured reserve.
So who would want a guy whose last active season was subpar and is coming off a major injury?
More people than wanted Raji last time around, apparently.
Speaking of #Packers… what about BJ Raji? I’m told he’s weighing offers. Preference is to return, but definitely no sure thing now.

We find the idea that Raji is “weighing offers” laughable. Not because we find it impossible that Raji actually has multiple offers, but because it’s totally possible that Raji has multiple offers.
Maybe a year of not playing has made other teams forget about how awful Raji was when he last played.
Or, maybe Raji’s price is now so low that other teams are like, “What the hell. Let’s take a flyer on this fat bastard.”
We know the Packers want to bring Raji back. If they really want him back, we know they can make that happen. However, they aren’t going to be stupid about it. Nor should they be.
As was proven last year, B.J. Raji is replaceable.
