About

Total Packers was founded in 2008 to cover Green Bay Packers football — the players, the coaches, games, business and just about anything else related to the Green Bay Packers. We thought to ourselves, the Wisconsin media ranges from bland to hilarious in their coverage of the Green Bay Packers — we can do a hell of a lot better. Total Packers doesn’t pull any punches. We are outspoken. We are entertaining. Sometimes, we are crass. But most of all, we are passionate about the Green Bay Packers.

Check out Total Packers for news, analysis, commentary, video, gossip and humor for your Green Bay Packers.

Our contributors

Monty McMahon, co-founder
Monty an online marketing expert living in Los Angeles. He was born in Suring, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. In past lives he served as a newspaper reporter, magazine editor, broad wrangler and ne’er do well. In his spare time he enjoys beer, women, whiskey and Green Bay Packers football. Monty dislikes Vikings and Bears, and also Vikings. Sometime around early 2016, Monty got sick of all the bullshit and disappeared into the ether.

Steffen Schlachtenhaufen, co-founder
Steffen is a screenwriter and television producer based in Los Angeles. He was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin and grew up in Milwaukee, Bowler, Tomahawk and Neenah. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a degree in communications. You can catch some of the shows he produces on the History Channel and the Discovery Channel. He also wrote the 2012 horror film Would You Rather. Steffen has been a Packers fan for as long as he has been aware of football, somehow falling in love with the team during the pathetic 1988 season. Steffen believes that Sterling Sharpe was the greatest receiver to play the game and he cannot remember who quarterbacked for the Packers from 1992 to 2007. Follow Steffen on Twitter @steffen_schlach.

Vaden Todd, publisher
Vaden is an online publishing expert based in Seattle. He is fully aware of the atrocity that is Seattle Seahawks fans, but enjoys his home nonetheless. He is originally from Madison, Wisconsin and attended UCLA before heading north to the rain-soaked Pacific Northwest. He has built several multi-million dollar web properties and when he isn’t working, he enjoys loud music, fast guitars and faster women. Oh yeah, and Green Bay Packers football. Vaden has a sense of humor, but he does not find you funny.

Shawn Neuser, senior editor
Shawn is a writer and aspiring CPA living in Titletown USA with his wife and twin boys. He studied journalism and Street Fighter II at the University of Wisconsin. While living in Madison he announced high school sports for Cable Channel 10, including the state hockey championship at Dane County Coliseum. Unwilling to leave the state for work, he returned to Green Bay to pursue other avenues, eventually turning to business and getting his BBA in Accounting from UWGB. Shawn enjoys freelance writing, golf, and bowling, but he enjoys Packers football most of all. He has fanatically followed the Packers since the mid-80s, and he has the tendency to scream at the TV, even while watching replays of games long past.

Joseph Bonham, contributor
Joseph is best-known under another name as an erotic fiction writer. However, there’s no place for anything like that in a family environment like this! When he isn’t churning out titillating prose to make housewives’ panties moist, Joseph likes to do manly things like drink beer and procreate. He is the only member of the Total Packers staff who wasn’t born in Wisconsin and for that reason we’ll say he’s from “Parts Unknown,” like they did for every fat, weird-looking wrestler in the ’80s. Alright, he’s from Chicago, but he still thinks the ’85 Bears were a bunch of dicks.

Mordecai Jones, contributor
Mordecai is a screenwriter like Steffen. He lacks the gene that causes one to give a fuck like Monty. Naturally, that’s why he has found a cozy home right here. Born and raised as one of the five Jewish kids in Milwaukee, Mordecai is pissed that his season tickets are in the Gold Package and not the Green Package. He lives in Los Angeles and skis in Colorado. Like 2Pac, he gets around. At one time or another he might have done a line off your sister’s ass. You will not tell him how to ruin his life. He’ll take care of that just fine on his own, goddam it!

Rob Born, contributor
Rob was born and raised in Fond du Lac and he got a mechanical engineering degree from Marquette. As the only pre-Lombardi member of the Total Packers Crew, Rob is the resident codger, elder and sometime angry old man. He’s already done more shit than the rest of us could dream of. Rob has been a pilot in the Air Force, he’s been a newspaper editor, a lawyer and an entrepreneur. He currently lives in Whidbey Island, Washington and he’s here to class this fuckin’ place up!

E. Wolf, contributor
E. Wolf is the alias of a hardcore, maniacal Packers fan and native Seattleite left stranded in New York City. He has lived and worked in Germany and speaks the language pretty well for an Ami, and is always looking for new adventures. Bleeding Green and Gold through and through, he hates the Seahawks and Patriots about as much as he hates the Minnesota Vikings. He is a lifelong devotee to indie and hardcore industrial and aggrotech music. Rather than “Celebrate” or “I Gotta Feeling,” he’d much rather hear “Headhunter” by Front 242, “Mindphaser” by Front Line Assembly, or many other songs and artists only privy to the cool kids in the fourth quarter, or any time.

Sarah Wolfe, contributor
Sarah is a writer and editor living in the Twin Cities, a lifelong Packers fan and an ardent supporter of all things anti-Vikings. Sarah has always been a football fan, having grown up in the country surrounded by boys. She spent every Sunday glued to the TV, talking Packers with her dad, brother and anyone else she could. Sarah is a Marquette graduate and spent several years writing for the Associated Press. Back in the Midwest after living in Wyoming and Montana, Sarah finds it difficult to watch the Packers while living in Vikings Country, but still manages to keep up.
