Skip Bayless ranked Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers among the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history in his latest all-time list. The longtime sports commentator placed Favre seventh and Rodgers 12th, reigniting debate over how the two Green Bay Packers legends compare against some of the biggest names the league has ever seen.

Favre earned his place through durability, production and his role in restoring the Packers to championship relevance during the 1990s. His fearless playing style and emotional leadership helped make Green Bay one of the NFL’s premier franchises again while also turning him into one of football’s most recognizable stars.

The Hall of Fame quarterback became the first player in NFL history to win three consecutive MVP awards. Favre also led the Packers to a Super Bowl title and built a reputation for toughness through his remarkable streak of consecutive starts, a record that stood as one of the sport’s most respected achievements.

Rodgers eventually followed Favre and developed a completely different style that proved just as successful. His accuracy, efficiency and ability to protect the football helped establish him as one of the most talented passers the league has ever seen during his years leading Green Bay’s offense.

Favre and Rodgers were recently included in Bayless’ list of all-time great quarterbacks in the NFL. This can be seen in a post shared by Underdog on X.

The former Packers star consistently produced elite numbers while collecting MVP awards and guiding the franchise to another Super Bowl championship. Rodgers also influenced a younger generation of quarterbacks who attempted to mirror his mechanics, off-platform throws and ability to create explosive plays outside the pocket.

Bayless’ rankings reflected the long-term impact both quarterbacks continue to have on NFL history and the Packers organization. Whether measured by championships, individual accomplishments, influence on the game or consistency over multiple decades, Favre and Rodgers remain firmly connected to discussions involving the greatest quarterbacks to ever play professional football.
