Romeo Doubs and the Green Bay Packers remain connected by mutual respect even after the veteran receiver moved on in free agency. As anticipation builds for the 2026 NFL season, He delivered a response that reflected appreciation rather than bitterness toward his former team.

The NFL star was asked whether he had Green Bay’s matchup against the New England Patriots circled on the calendar, a question many former players often answer with competitive intensity. Instead, Doubs made it clear there were no hard feelings after his departure from the team.

Doubs spent the first years of his NFL career developing into a dependable target within Green Bay’s offense. During his time with the Packers, he became known for his steady production in key situations and his ability to make contested catches in important moments.

The wide receiver signed with the New England Patriots earlier this offseason, joining an offense looking to surround its young quarterback with proven talent. Doubs enters the next chapter of his career after posting career-best numbers during the 2025 season and finishing his final playoff appearance in Green Bay with an impressive performance.

Doubs gave a classy response when asked about facing his former team. This can be seen in a video shared by Green.Bay.Packers on X.

While some players embrace revenge narratives after leaving a franchise, Doubs took a different approach. His comments reflected gratitude for the opportunity Green Bay gave him after selecting him in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and helping him establish himself as an NFL receiver.

The reaction from fans highlighted why Doubs remained respected during his time with the organization. Even as he prepares for a new season in New England, his response showed maturity and professionalism that continue to resonate with supporters on both sides of his NFL journey.
