Former Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley delivered a strong Super Bowl message about Matt LaFleur, reinforcing his belief in Green Bay’s long-term direction. Hafley’s comments reflected both respect for LaFleur’s track record and confidence in what lies ahead.

Hafley, now continuing his coaching journey elsewhere, pointed to LaFleur’s consistent success as a defining trait. He emphasized that sustained winning in the NFL is no accident and credited LaFleur for building a culture that keeps the Packers competitive year after year.

During his tenure in Green Bay, Hafley worked closely within LaFleur’s system and saw firsthand how the head coach manages both players and staff. He described LaFleur’s leadership as steady and adaptable, qualities that have helped the team navigate roster changes and evolving expectations.

LaFleur’s winning percentage remains among the league’s best since he took over in 2019, a stretch that includes multiple playoff appearances. While postseason breakthroughs have been limited, Hafley suggested that the foundation already in place gives Green Bay a legitimate path toward a championship.

Hafley recently shared a message meant for LaFleur. This can be seen in an article by Wes Hodkiewicz for the team’s official website.

“From what has done in this league and his win percentage and what he’s done at Green Bay, guy’s had one of the best careers and deserves to be the head coach of the Green Bay Packers,” Hafley said. “It wouldn’t surprise me if they continue to take steps that eventually gets himself a Super Bowl.”

The former coordinator also expressed gratitude for the opportunity he received under LaFleur, noting that trust from a head coach can shape a career. That professional bond has carried forward, with Hafley continuing to support LaFleur’s vision even after moving on.

Hafley believes the Packers are still ascending under LaFleur’s leadership. If that trajectory continues, he expects the franchise to eventually position itself for a Super Bowl run.
