The NFL released the Green Bay Packers’ 2026 opponents, and the divisional and rotational formulas set the framework for a challenging slate. Green Bay will host nine home games and play eight on the road under the league’s 17-game format, with exact dates to follow in the spring schedule release.

Green Bay’s home list includes NFC North rivals Minnesota, Detroit and Chicago plus NFC South opponents Atlanta and Carolina. Interconference visitors from the AFC East will bring Buffalo, Miami and New England opponents to Lambeau Field next season, while the Cowboys and Texans round out the home slate based on Green Bay’s second-place finish in the division.

On the road, Green Bay will still travel to face its NFC North foes and will cross the country for games at Los Angeles and New Orleans. The team’s traveling schedule also features trips to AFC East cities New England and the New York Jets, as well as games at Tampa Bay and a tough Rams matchup in Los Angeles, reflecting the rotating cycles and standing-based pairings the NFL uses to build opponents.

Analysts flagged the overall strength of the Packers’ 2026 opponents, noting the NFC North’s depth and the beefy AFC East rotation make the home slate particularly demanding. However, the team’s away games profile more manageable on paper, producing a less severe travel burden than in some recent seasons and offering potential opportunities to win on the road.

The teams Green Bay will face on the road and at home have been revealed. This is detailed more in an article by Wes Hodkiewicz for the team’s website.

Home: Minnesota, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Carolina, Buffalo, Miami, Dallas, Houston

Road: Minnesota, Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, New England, New York Jets, Los Angeles Rams

A recurring concern emphasized by experts is the matchup versus the Chicago Bears, a divisional rivalry that will carry extra weight after their Wild Card meeting this January. Game planning for that opponent will require attention to Chicago’s offensive weapons and schemes that have troubled Green Bay during key moments this season.

With opponents set, Green Bay’s front office can prioritize offseason moves and draft strategies to address positional gaps and scheme matchups. The full date and time release will allow coaches to finalize preparation rhythms and travel logistics.

The 2026 schedule offers a clear roadmap for the Packers’ offseason work: reinforce depth, prepare for rivalry rematches, and position the roster to handle a demanding home slate while seizing road opportunities. How the team addresses those realities will shape its prospects next season.
