Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love still isn’t 100 percent before the team’s Week 3 contest against the Cleveland Browns. The Packers returned to practice on Monday after winning their Week 2 contest 27-18 over the Washington Commanders on Thursday night.
Love suffered a left hand injury in the Packers first preseason game that required surgery. He’s played both regular season games, leading Green Bay to a 2-0 record with wins against the Detroit Lions and Commanders.
Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love still has a thumb issue

Rob Demovsky of ESPN provided an update on Love and a few other players during Monday’s practice. Love had his left thumb wrapped.
“QB Jordan Love still has his left thumb wrapped as GB returns from the weekend off after the Thursday night game,” Demovsky posted on X. “RT Zach Tom (oblique) LG Aaron Banks (ankle/groin), CB Bo Melton (shoulder) not practicing but doing rehab work off to the side. DNP: WR Jayden Reed (collarbone).”

A big test in Week 3

Despite the issue, Love has had a solid start to the 2025 campaign, completing 66% of his passes for 480 yards and four touchdowns. He’s done that without one of his best wide receivers on the field, with Christian Watson still out while he recovers from an ACL injury that required surgery in January.
Love’s mettle will be tested against the Browns in Week 3. Defensive end Myles Garrett will pose a challenge for the Packers offensive line and Love. Green Bay needs to protect Love from Garrett, as the quarterback is key to the team’s chance to make a Super Bowl run this year.
