On Wednesday, the Green Bay Packers announced they signed a cornerback hours after head coach Matt LaFleur provided a brief update on Jaire Alexander.
The Packers and Alexander appear in limbo during OTAs. It is uncertain if the Packers will cut Alexander, trade him, or if the two sides can agree on a new deal.

During an appearance on “Up & Adams” on Wednesday, LaFleur said Alexander has not been able to play to his potential in the last few years because of injuries (knee, hamstring).
“Ja is a great player,” LaFleur said of Alexander. “Unfortunately, he’s been kind of snake bit the last couple of years, and he’s missed a lot of time, and so it’s hard to play up to your potential when you’re not on the grass… I think that’s just something that we’re working through, and you know hopefully we’ll have some resolution sooner than later.”

The Packers signed Gregory Junior

Per the Packers, the team signed cornerback Gregory Junior and released cornerback Kaleb Hayes.
The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Junior in the sixth round of the 2022 draft. He’s spent time with the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans.
The Ouachita Baptist University standout has recorded 17 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one pass defensed in the league.
He will wear No. 38 for Green Bay.
