The Green Bay Packers are operating like they’re preparing to get some major help for quarterback Jordan Love during the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
One day after hosting Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka for a top-30 pre-draft visit, the Packers are hosting Buckeyes offensive tackle Josh Simmons for a visit in Green Bay, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Packers have invested significant resources into the offensive line in recent years, including selecting offensive tackle Jordan Morgan last spring, but the offensive line remains a position of need for Green Bay.
Simmons, 6-foot-5 and 305 pounds, is one of the premier offensive tackles in this year’s class, despite coming off a torn ACL suffered last season.
“Loose, fluid mover with excellent initial quickness,” The Bleacher Report Scouting Department writes of Simmons. “Change of direction, balance and a sense of urgency to his play. “Regularly beats the rusher to the spot using a flat or 45-degree set before expanding vertically against high-side rushes with plenty of range to protect the corner and remain balanced through the top of the QB’s drop.”
Before getting injured last season, Simmons didn’t allow a sack while only surrendering one hurry last season in Columbus, while earning an elite 82.2 true pass-set block grade.

If the Packers believe Simmons is the best offensive tackle available on the board, and aim to invest the No. 23 pick in a position with significant value, over a weapon such as Egbuka or a defensive playmaker, the former Buckeyes star could be a fascinating target to watch.
