‘They Need To Pull The Trigger Immediately’: Green Bay Packers Fans Erupt Amid Alleged Price Tag For Elite Pass Rusher

The Green Bay Packers have found something on defense under defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. Last season, Green Bay finished in the top six regarding points and yards allowed for the first time since winning the Super Bowl circa 2010. Meanwhile, edge rusher Rashan Gary and safety Xavier McKinney saw their careers take a massive step forward, each becoming pro bowlers and the ladder, earning first-team All-Pro honors. Nevertheless, expect the Packers to continue their development towards an elite defense.

Earlier this week, the Cincinnati Bengals approved a trade request from star defensive end Trey Hendrickson. With Green Bay fresh off an 11-win season and the team still well inside their competitive window, fans are ready for their team to unload their arsenal of draft picks to acquire the services of Hendrickson.

Only one player in the NFL has collected at least 35 sacks in the past two seasons: Cincinnati Bengals edge rusher Trey Hendrickson. Hendrickson has made four straight Pro Bowl appearances while making first-team All-Pro in 2024. However, with the 30-year-old entering the final year of his extension (one year, $21 million) in Cincinnati and his current team unlikely to pony up his new contract demands, the superstar was granted a trade request earlier this week.

Eli Berkovits of 247Sports believes The Green Bay Packers should be first in line regarding a trade for the superstar defender. Jonathan Jones of NFLonCBS has the price tag sitting around a second and third-round pick. Alongside the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Packers have the 55th and 87th overall selections, respectively. Berkovits, alongside a bevy of fans, are pounding on the table for the NFC North franchise to send this year’s second and third-round pick for Hendrickson:
