The Green Bay Packers have long been a team known for acquiring top physical talent in via the draft, which is why other teams want the secrets.

While there are many talented quarterbacks this year in the class, many teams are looking at the Green Bay Packers for a guide on drafting the quarterback position and picking the right type of player.
Green Bay Packers Jordan Love Becoming Ideal Model For Future NFL Quarterbacks
An anonymous offensive coach recently stated that “this draft class doesn’t have a Jordan Love” and Love is who they “want” in an ideal quarterback prospect according to Daire Carragher of 247sports.
Over the past two seasons with the Green Bay Packers as the primary quarterback, Love has recorded 7548-yards passing, 57 touchdowns, and 22 interceptions while recording a rating of 98.1 during the span. Love has quickly developed into one of the better quarterbacks in the league, and also one capable of making the right plays for his offense when needed.
Obviously, the young quarterback is not perfect and still makes mistakes, but the growth potential of Love has only continued to rise with his recent performances. Standing in at 6-feet-4-inches, and roughly 220-pounds, Love commands the offense with a strong arm and a beautiful spiral, but has been no stranger to leaving the pocket and finding the correct angle.
Love has a snappy release and can put serious velocity on his throws which allows for a tighter throw and better control of where the football is going to land.
Is There Another Quarterback like Jordan Love in the 2025 NFL Draft?
While no quarterback in the draft may matchup perfectly to the physical attributes Love has, one could argue that Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward would be the closest comparison in the 2025 draft pool.
Ward was a top Heisman Trophy candidate during the 2025 NCAA season and developed a reputation as a calm, cool-headed quarterback often walking back into his drop or standing still in the pocket. The former transfer quarterback also shares a quick release along with sneaky athleticism that has allowed for an ability to create big plays to be possible.
Ward is as talented as any quarterback when it comes to extending plays, earning a comparison to Patrick Mahomes earlier in the season due to video game like plays Ward was able to pull off. However, Ward also does have a knock and it is one that Love has struggled with while playing for the Green Bay Packers as well.
For such a talented player when it comes to creating something out of seemingly nothing, Ward makes some head-scratching late throws at times that really feel to sting due to the rest of what the quarterback displays on the football field.
Ward certainly has big play potential, and as long as the quarterback figures out his timing, then there could be another Jordan Love present in the NFL. The success of Ward will also come down to who selects the quarterback and how much time is spent developing his weaknesses into strengths.

Why don’t we let the draft class be drafted, and then let the QB’s show what they can do in the NFL before making such a proclamation.
My guess is that this (anonymous) offensive coach hasn’t won anything in the NFL, much like Jordan Love.
Is he saying if Jordan Love was in this years draft he’d be the undisputed #1 pick?
People soon forget, or choose to not acknowledge, that if Love had to start back in 2020 or 2021, he didn’t look like much of a successful NFL prospect.
In fact, many on here didn’t think he was the GB QB of the future.
Luckily he had the luxury of learning behind Rodgers for 3 years.
Love has proven himself to be serviceable, sans some boneheaded interceptions.
Now all he has to do in his 6th season in the league is win something, anything.
Which shouldn’t be too much to ask from one of the highest paid QB’s in the league.
