From 2021 to 2023, the Green Bay Packers selected seven wide receivers, including three in the third round or earlier. However, despite many flashes of brilliance, highlighted by pass catchers Christian Watson and Jayden Reed, Green Bay has not had a 1,000-yard receiver since 2021, the final year with superstar wideout Davante Adams.
The New York Jets released Adams earlier this week after just one half-season with the club. Adams will become a hot commodity on the free agent market and have his fair share of suitors when the new league begins next Wednesday. On Wednesday, one Fox Sports 1 personality called for the Packers to reunite with their former All-Pro receiver.
Green Bay Packers Could Bring Back Superstar WR

According to former Green Bay Packers wide receiver turned media personality James Jones via The Facility on FS1:
“If you’re the Bills, Packers, Rams, or Chargers, they should knock down Davante Adams’ door.” —
Three-time All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams is a free agent. Following his release earlier this week, Adams will now join his third team in two years after his unceremonious exit from the New York Jets. An 11-year vet, Adams tallied his sixth 1,000-yard season in seven years while splitting time with the Jets and Las Vegas Raiders last year. An elite separate, Adams was one of the game’s best offensive weapons from 2017 to 2021 while a member of the Green Bay Packers.
With Adams now on the open market, his former teammate in Green Bay, James Jones, who is now a member of Fox Sports 1, believes the Packers should inquire about his services. Adams holds the team record for most receptions in a season with 123 and is the only player in franchise history with three seasons of at least 100 catches. He earned two first-team All-Pro nods during his final five years with the Packers. He was also a Pro-Bowler each season.
