Aaron Rodgers may not have anything to do with the Green Bay Packers now, but many fans still follow the team’s former superstar quarterback.
This offseason, he is a free agent. He has never been a free agent before.
After two disappointing years with the New York Jets, Rodgers is looking to find the perfect landing spot. His current desire seems to be to end up following even closer in Brett Favre’s footsteps by landing with the Minnesota Vikings. That would set up two matchups against his replacement, Jordan Love, in 2025.
However, the Vikings have not decided whether or not they want Rodgers. That decision still needs to be made.
Now, the contract that Rodgers desires to land from whoever signs him has been revealed.
Green Bay Packers Legend Aaron Rodgers’ Massive 2025 Contract Demands Have Been Revealed
According to a report from multiple insiders at The Athletic, Rodgers is looking for a deal of similar annual salary to that of the three-year, $100.5 million contract that Sam Darnold just signed with the Seattle Seahawks.
“Rodgers, in the wake of his release by the New York Jets, is seeking an annual salary in the same general range as Darnold’s — though that’s not expected to be a major stumbling block. O’Connell, the reigning NFL coach of the year, must decide whether he’s committed to bringing in the future first-ballot Hall of Famer, while considering the effect such a move could have on the growth of second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy, the 10th pick in the 2024 draft.”
Rodgers is coming off of a strong season with the Jets in 2024. He completed 63 percent of his pass attempts for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Despite the bad light the media often puts the former Packers’ superstar in, he played well.
It will be interesting to see if Rodgers ends up landing in Minnesota. The future Hall of Fame quarterback likely also has interest in coming back to face the Packers. He was not thrilled with how things ended in Green Bay.
Should he end up signing with the Vikings, he’ll be getting paid a pretty penny.

I Rodgers is not pleased with the way things ended up for him in Green Bay, he should look in the mirror to discover who the culprit was. “Darkness Retreat”? Peeing on GB after they gave him absolutely everything he wanted in the existing contract, including tired old Randall Cobb? Trying to get the coach fired?
If the Vikings hire Aaron Rodgers I will no longer watch the Vikings. That guy is nothing but a very very bad headache. Please think twice before hiring him.
This makes absolutely no sense for the Vikings. You either commit to JJ McCarthy or you don’t. Letting Sam Darnold walk says we’re all in on McCarthy. And now you’re toying with the idea of bringing in Rodgers? When 27 year old Darnold is clearly better and infinitely more mobile than 41 year old Aaron Rodgers. Not to mention all the drama Rodgers brings with him.
This has less to do with money and more about where Rodgers actually wants to play. I think money wise, Pittsburgh and the Giants would give him whatever he wanted. Rodgers wants to finish his career with the Vikings for obvious reasons. Minnesota is trying to talk themselves into it. They’re on the verge of a huge mistake. While slime ball Brett Favre is egging Rodgers on. This doesn’t end well for the Vikings or Rodgers which is fine by me….
I bet you said the same thing when Brett Farve went to the Vikings.
People have doubted Rodgers before wouldn’t count him out yet.
