The hierarchy within the Green Bay Packers is not fond of the “tush push,” a short-yardage quarterback sneak that has become a staple of the Philadelphia Eagles playbook. On Monday, reports surfaced that one anonymous team proposed a ban on the quarterback sneak performed by Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts, in which the dual-threat passer lines up under center and is pushed forward by at least two of his teammates. It didn’t take long for the media outlets to out the Packers as the team looking to abolish the play.
It comes with little surprise that the Packers are the lone club looking to ban the tush push, with CEO Mark Murphy previously sharing his thoughts on the play, calling it “ridiculous” and saying there is “no skill involved.” Following the outing of Murphy and the Packers, NFL fans, mainly those devoted to the Eagles, bashed the NFC North franchise.
NFL Fans Take Aim At Green Bay Packers

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic:
The Green Bay Packers are the team that submitted a proposal to the NFL’s competition committee to ban the tush push, per sources.
Earlier this week, the NFL announced that a team proposed banning the tush push, a quarterback sneak play made famous by the Philadephia Eagles and quarterback Jalen Hurts. Shortly following the report, Dianna Russini of The Athletic shared that the Green Bay Packers were pulling for the banishment of the play. Naturally, Eagles fans did not take kindly to Packers CEO Mark Murphy attempting to do away with the short-yardage play. Hurts has scored double-digit rushing touchdowns in his past four seasons, many of which are coming on short-yardage goal-to-go situations.
With the NFL going through the slowest portion of their calendar year, many fans put the Packers on blast to do away with the tush push:
