The Green Bay Packers received good news from the rest of the NFL Thursday.
With the NFL Combine underway and free agency set to begin on March 14, the NFL released the updated and final salary cap for 2025, and it is a boon for all 32 teams.
How much Cap Space do The Green Bay Packers Have for 2025?
The Packers are well positioned entering this offseason, with a burgeoning young quarterback, deep offensive line, and playmakers at all three levels of the defense.
But, general manager Brian Gutekunst has vowed to bolster the talent across the roster this offseason to the point that the Packers make the leap to becoming legitimate Super Bowl contenders in 2025.
After the salary cap was raised to $279.5 million for the upcoming 2025 season, the Packers are projected to have upwards of $49.1 million in cap space, the 13th most in the NFL.
Making things easier for Gutekunst and the Packers is the fact that Green Bay doesn’t have any priority free agents or must-re-sign players this offseason, which should free the organization up to go shopping at the top of the market for the biggest positions of need.
Meanwhile, Gutekunst and the Packers could create even more spending flexibility if Green Bay is able to trade Jaire Alexander in the coming weeks.
