The Green Bay Packers will host their home opener against the Indianapolis Colts at Lambeau Stadium. Following last season’s surprisingly effective performance by the team, the Packers felt an enormous setback at the end of week one’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil when Jordan Love was injured. The injury was later revealed to be to his knee (MCL), with the QB missing at least a few games.
Jordan Love May Not Return Until Week 5
Well, I guess we’re a running team day. Help us, Obi-wan Josh Jacobs, you’re our only hope. Packers RB Jacobs had 84 yards in week one over 16 carries.
Despite being limited in practice this week, he should be good to go. Meanwhile, rookie RB MarShawn Lloyd should be active today, as well.
Jordan Reed was also strong in week one and should help give backup QB Malik Willis another reliable offensive weapon to lean on.
Packers Defense: Another Big Week One Disappointment
Giving up 410 yards, the Eagles picked apart the Packers’ defense in an embarrassing display under new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. Colts RB Jonathan Taylor, who led the NFL in rushing in 2021, is looking to have a big day after seeing the Pack’s D get trampled last week.
