How the Voting Works
Packers Shareholders: Anyone can become a Packers shareholder by purchasing shares during one of the team’s rare stock sales. However, these shares are more like memorabilia than traditional stock. They don’t pay dividends, can’t be traded, and offer no financial benefits.
Voting Rights: The main perk of owning Packers stock is the right to vote at the annual shareholders’ meeting. Shareholders elect the team’s Board of Directors, who then appoint an Executive Committee to handle day-to-day operations.
Board of Directors: The Green Bay Packers Board of Directors is a 45-member body elected by shareholders. They are responsible for setting the organization’s strategic direction, approving major financial decisions, and appointing the Executive Committee. The Board represents diverse professional backgrounds and ensures compliance with NFL regulations.
Executive Committee: The Executive Committee is a seven-member group responsible for the day-to-day management of the Packers. Appointed by and reporting to the Board, they oversee football operations, manage finances and business operations, and make decisions on personnel matters.
