Our superstar is all grown up and we simply cannot afford him, per the front office. Per Adam Schefter, after signing RB Josh Jacobs, Jones was informed that he will be released from the team.
Being a financial decision more than anything, not many wanted to see this happen and hopes were high it would not.
Can’t say I’m thrilled about this one but I’ll defer that to the experts in the comment section. Personality-wise and how he handled himself with the Raiders, he does not seem like a good fit for the organization.
He has never caught a TD pass and he’s going to play for LaFleur’s Packers. Whatever, man.

What a P. O. S.
His retirement can’t get here soon enough for me.
***************
When is his retirement Tommi…can you remind us….like 5 years?
You Tommi…are also a stupid POS.
But…you already know that.
“Even though i know you’re just kidding.
That’s still kind of cold.
What happened to us?
It’s like…i don’t even know you anymore.”
Do you not find it odd to say that to me when it obviously also applies to you? Did I miss the intentional irony?
Well…that’s pretty good there Sparky.
I thought i said…
“What happened to us?”
In reference to Tommi.

I just don’t know why you are trying to stir the pot with me.
I’ve treated you like a King ever since you bought this joint, and this is the thanks i get?
********
I just wanted to post on one of your articles.
How about a thank you, or maybe a non confrontational response?
What happened to us?
Too bad for Packers. Jones was a great team player, great team leader, great person, any time he had the ball in his hands it was exciting to see. Wish him the best.
Yea, he was the straw that stirred the offensive drink.
Last season Jones took a 5 million dollar pay cut.
I wonder then, if they had the idea of releasing him this season, at that time.
As good as he was (is) on the field, by all accounts, he was even a better man.
A Packer player Packer Nation looks at with 100% pride.
Aaron Rodgers was 39. Aaron Jones 29. That’s old for a RB. Jones hurts because he was so likable. Rodgers not so much. If Kevin had his way Rodgers, Jones, and Jordy Nelson would still be playing for the Packers. Jordan Love was an upgrade. Josh Jacobs is an upgrade. Jordy was done. Those are the facts. The NFL is a cold, hard business.
Nelson led the Raiders the following year. Jones was never used his first few years in the league, and still has some left in him. Would not at all surprise me that if he doesn’t get a deal somewhere else, the Packers resign him. Love has got
ten good games and seven putrid games. Not exactly an upgrade. The problem with Arod was every year the Packers were picked as a possible Superbowl favorite. Delivered only once. When Love gets talked about as such then and only then will he be an upgrade.
Must really be sad that someone that hasn’t been a Packer for over a year still gives you wet dreams about him tom
“Nelson led the Raiders the following year.”
Then what happened?
Ok tom/jason , Jordy retired. Still wasn’t washed up, and the Pack got absolutely squat for him.
Now, who replaced him on the Packers?
Unfortunately this isn’t a popularity contest. You don’t get paid because the fans like you. You’re paid for production. Jordy Nelson’s production was no longer worth a veteran contract. A mid round WR on a rookie contract could put up similar numbers for a fraction of the cost. Jordy signed a two year contract with the Raiders. They cut him after one.
Aaron Jones simply wasn’t worth 12 million. It sounds like Gutekunst tried to keep him but they couldn’t work out a deal. This isn’t a great RB draft. Matt LaFleur’s offense is predicated on running the ball. Josh Jacobs makes this offense scary good. Sure, it hurts now but we’re better today with Jacobs and McKinney than we were yesterday without them..
Wow, the critical thinking pool runs pretty shallow around here.
For the upteenth time…..
Just because Nelson didn’t produce with Brett Hundley, the Packers wanted to show Nelson the door?
How do you go from leading the league in TD passes after ACL surgery, to being shown the door after the next season?….lmao
I’ll tell you how, Rodgers gets hurt, enter Brett Hundley, whose only move is frying up venison and rolling right and targeting Adams.
It’s not like McGravy was going to let Hundley roll right, and throw cross field to Nelson.
When Nelson did get the ball, it was mostly at or behind the line of scrimmage. McGravy had kid gloves, playing it safe with Hundley.
Watch the games children.
For those of us who actually know something. Nelson led the league in TD’s in 2016.
In 2017 with Rodgers, Nelson caught 6 TD’s passes in the first 5 games of the 2017 season, before Rodgers got injured.
Now kids….. think about that for a bit….
That’s 20 TD’s in the last 21 games with Rodgers.
That’s what we call……highly productive!!
Then steps in Brett Hundley, and ALL OF A SUDDEN, it’s determined that Jordy Nelson……lost a step….lol.
I GNF what Jordy did with the Raiders.
It’s about what he did with Rodgers, because the two of them together…were prolific.
Since 2018 we’ve been waiting for Gute to find Nelson’s replacement, we’re still waiting.

I heard a report that the Packers tried keeping Jones, but it required Jones to take a 50% pay cut.
(That’s not insulting, is it?)
Aaron Jones was vital in the Packers getting to the playoffs months ago
Rushing for over 100 yards in 5 straight games, including the last three regular season games.
That is something no other GB running back has accomplished in the history of the Packers.
(Things you don’t know..right?)
It’s ok, i’m here.
So…Jones took a 5 million dollar pay cut last season.
This season to stay with the team, the Packers wanted Jones to take a 6 million dollar pay cut this season.
Gee….who would ever think that is insulting to Jones?

The Packers did both Nelson and Jones dirty.

5 years until retirement…..ain’t that right Princess?
Not going to answer who replaced Nelson on the Packers? Why not? Really easy answer…. No Pucking one did.
Sorry about the site downtime, Cloudflare is being a dumb coont lately about SSL certs and this is the second site of mine to do it in a week.

LOL…simple minded ignorance.

” You don’t get paid because the fans like you. You’re paid for production.” – Nancy
(Like Jimmy Graham?)
Which is exactly what Rodgers and Nelson gave the Packers, at the highest level in the NFL.
If you go back and watch the games when Brett Hundley was QB, you will see a lot of times Jordy coming back to the huddle completely disgusted because he was wide open and no Hundley didn’t even bother to look his way. Can’t show disgust like that on the field of play, just ask Rasul Douglass.
Nothing gets Kevin’s hormones out of whack quicker than talking about Jordy Nelson. Then he becomes an emotional mess. At 33 or 34 Jordy was done and he knew it. Even if Kevin pretends otherwise.
Aaron Jones was in the same draft class as Dalvin Cook. Both similar is style. The Vikings cut Cook loose last year over money. He went to the Jets where he was released mid season. Minnesota, where old Packers go to fade away, will be Aaron Jones next stop. He signed a one year 7 million deal. Even the Vikings won’t commit past next season…
Yes, we watched Jones last 5 games last season…anyone could see he was washed up….ain’t that right Princess?
But Princess tells us he’s to old (29) and washed up….lol
Jordy’s last 5 games with Rodgers in 2017, resulted in 6 TD catches.
Enter Brett Hundley……
Then, according to some, he magically lost a step and was washed up…ain’t that right Princess?
So, what if Nelson was back with Rodgers in 2018.
Would he have surpassed Jimmy Grahams production of 626 yards and 2 whopping TD catches?
Bwahahahahahaha
2 TD passes for Graham in one season? WOW!!
Nelson, with Rodgers, could get 2 TD’s in ONE game, in his sleep.
What do you think lettuce head?
Pickle head Tommi would have you believe, Nelson was let go because he was too old.
Nelson was shown the door when he was 32 to save 10 million/year.
So Gute signed 31 year old Jimmy Graham for 3 years 30 million.
Makes perfect sense!!
Gute, and the Packers were rewarded with Graham’s total of 5 TD passes as a Packer.
Fhucking brilliant, right lettuce head?

Ragnar lol…. likes to bring up the Jets and his vikings.
Two winning organizations who know a lot about running a winning franchise and making the right decisions.
********************
I’d get into how Aaron Jones has more TD’s than Jacobs, more yards, a better ypc, more first downs……in LESS carries.
But that would make him have to think.
Even i can’t be that cruel.
What’s done is done, hopefully Josh Jacobs can run better than the 3.5 average yards per carry he displayed last season.
Especially considering Gute’s 2nd round bust AJ Dillon (unsigned) averaged 3.4 yards a carry last season.
Not to mention Jacobs pass pro is below average
Kevin, you let the men folk make the tough decisions. We need you as the emotional cheerleader for the team. Continually blabbering about stats….
Lol…ok, whatever you say Ragnar 🙄

Jordan Love finished the season going 9-8, making the playoffs and winning a playoff game. Where he put up 48 against a good Dallas team on the road. He finished the season with 32 passing TD’s, 4 rushing TD’s, just 11 INT’s and 4159 passing yards.

You are such a kitty, Princess.
You left out the part where I said how you’d “pop a boner” just telling us if Rodgers had those kind of stats in NY.
Now go put on something pretty and with your biggest crocodile tears. Tell us how mean Mark Murphy and Brian Gutekunst are for cutting a 29 year old RB who played in only 11 games last season and still made 11 million…..
On “The Game” sports radio, they have been talking how the Jones deal reminded them of the Jordy deal.
This morning, one of the host described the handling of the Packers offering Nelson the vet minimum, as the Packers saying F U towards Nelson on the way out.
***************
You sound angry as always Flip Flop…..
Now tell us…when you went and cried to Jason that we were mean to you because you didn’t like how we treated you, how did that work out?
Recite some more Love stats to us……Kitty
I just hate seeing Jones go. He was special to watch on the field. Everyone says he’s a fantastic person and teammate. We will soon see if the magic was the play calling of our coach, or a special RB who made him look good.
That answer is easy…. What other running back on the Packers even came close to his yards per carry? Or, what running back was as good in pass pro? Or, what running back was as good as a receiver? Absolutely no one.
My all time favorite Packer is Bart Starr. But he was not a good HC and even a worse GM. You could argue he set the organization back decades. He stayed around too long because the organization and the fans played the sentimental game. I get it. We love our heroes and we struggle to know when to let go. I wish Aaron Jones well, but this was the right move.
You heard it here first folks!!……
Flip Flop tells us Bart Starr wasn’t a good coach or GM.
The things we learn from that man!!
I better write this stuff down before i forget.
