Jaire Alexander surprised a reporter this week outside Lambeau Field. Emily Roberts (smokeshow) with WBAY was recording a segment when Alexander suddenly appeared in frame, yelling “Pack is back“.
Assuming it was a random fan, she brushed him off. Oops. Of course, I doubt he was eager to give an interview anyway.
Packers CB Jaire Alexander has been making some headlines with the Packers lately, but not for his on-field performance. Alexander’s vibrant personality has been shining pretty hard lately with a suspension recently from a coin toss incident before the Panthers game.
Now that it’s more obvious that Alexander may not be hanging around Lambeau much longer, he doesn’t seem to have much reason to hold back.
Jaire Alexander really hit the ground running with the Green Bay Packers after they picked him in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He’s become a crucial part of the Packers’ defense, thanks to his quick moves, speed, and sharp game sense.
At $21 million per year, he is the highest paid cornerback in the NFL. After a brief reactivation from injured reserve, CB Eric Stokes was put back on IR so now is the time for Alexander to show his value.
Meanwhile, Corey Ballentine was called a stud by Joe Barry, for what that’s worth. Also, Keisean Nixon is on a bit of a hot streak himself. One thing looking certain is the secondary is going to look a bit different next season.
Also: *pours one out for Rasul Douglas’ knee* Get better, champ. Sorry to see you go.
My god, with all the continuous bullshit that management looked the other way with Aaron Rodgers over the last several years. It’s hard for me to believe Jaire Alexander photo bombing a reporter and saying “go pack go” will be the straw that breaks the camels back.
Look, I get it. You can’t let the inmates run the asylum. Alexander deserved his suspension. But my sense is he’s more of jokester than a team cancer. Shut down corners are a lot like franchise QB’s. They don’t grow on trees. If I’m management, I’m more concerned about his availability. He’s missed way too many games since signing his big contract. Maybe he’s not aggressive with rehab or doesn’t show up in good shape. If he truly wants to be back next year then go out and shut down CD Lamb on Sunday. He does that and all will be forgiven.
note to self: do not pick on Jaire
He’s near the top of my “Packers I wanna hang out with IRL” list because I also like having one foot out the door and I know my own kind
It was legendary coach Joe Gibbs who told his personnel department, “don’t give me a bunch of wet shirts, give me guys with personality.” And thats what those Redskins teams were. You had the Hogs, John Riggins, Joe Theisman and the lot.
Vince Lombardi didn’t know what to do with notorious poon hound Max McGee. But he always showed up on Sunday. That’s one of the biggest complaints from former Bill Belichick’s players. He took the joy out of playing football.
I get it, there’s a fine line between showing your individualism and being a distraction. And sometimes you have to reel them in a little. I think the young guys look up to Jaire and he has to be accountable. He has to stay focused. But I don’t see him as a distraction. He’s not slandering late night talk show hosts.
real talk: poon hound is one of my favorite phrases, no lie
“But I don’t see him as a distraction. He’s not slandering late night talk show hosts” – Daddy’s lil girl
“Aaron!! Aaron!!
Please!! Please!!!
Stop living in my head!!”

“You heard it from a fan right here…”
Whatever you say pumpkin…lol
Just because you work for a local station covering the Packers, does not make you a Green Bay Packer fan.
As always,
