Both teams are coming off impressive wins; the Packers defeated the Chicago Bears 38-20, while the Falcons secured a 24-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Green Bay’s offense, led by quarterback Jordan Love, is in fine form, having scored 38 points in their last game.
Love threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns, and the team is hopeful that running back Aaron Jones will be fit to play. On the defensive side, the Packers managed to force two turnovers and score a defensive touchdown in their last game. They’ll be looking to apply pressure on the Falcons’ passing game and improve their rush defense, which allowed 122 yards in their previous game.
Falcons, on the other hand, are relying heavily on their rushing attack, which amassed 130 yards and two touchdowns in their last game. Tyler Allgeier and rookie Bijan Robinson were the standout performers. The Falcons’ defense also put on a strong show, allowing only 10 points and forcing turnovers.
Safety Jesse Bates had an exceptional game with 10 tackles, a forced fumble, and two interceptions. Both teams are looking to go 2-0 for the season, making this a crucial early-season game. The Falcons are slight favorites with a -1.5 point spread, but the Packers, who are coming off an impressive road win, will be looking to upset the odds.

In general I will not bag on the offense as they put up 24. Jordan Love gets props. He’s thrown 6 TDs in two games with no picks and overall he’s exceeding expectations of many. He’s doing his job. Who is not? AJ Dillon. Maybe Door County and the goats on the roof crowd is all about AJ Dillon but he’s stinking up the show. Good guy with big legs but, not getting the job done. I said before I was worried when Aaron Jones was going to be absent for this game. His was the absence that hurt the most.

How do you get a delay of game penalty coming up for a field goal attempt? Might three points have mattered at the end? That’s on coaching.
–
Alexander did not play like a premier corner in this game. London owned him. A pretty darn sure (notice I said darn for the Google censors?) pick six right on the dick beaters needs to be caught and ran back.

Quay Walker is making a great turn-around from is rookie year. He’s everywhere and everywhere fast and he’s making hits and tackles up close to the line and not losing to his emotions. Yes, he had a pick hit him in the grille but, hey – he was concussed a week ago so I’ll cut slack. Still would have been nice.

The Joe Barry question has to come up once again after a game like this. Really the big job in this game was going to be thwarting the run and making Ridder throw. They got one pick and should have had three. Ridder is not horrible but he’s not all that good but they made him look good. What does Joe Barry need? A couple more 1st rounders on D?

Seriously not expecting really great things this year with such a young team but this actually was a game that should have been a win. There’s weeks ahead that will expose the youth and inexperience of this team but it wasn’t so much the youth and inexperience that was the let down today.
We’re blaming the defense, but this is Love’s fault as much as the defense. The Packers needed something, anything in the 4th quarter from the offense and instead the Packers just gave it back to the Falcons, giving them plenty of time to work their run game. Love showed how inaccurate he is when he needs to score, which is not a good sign at all. Rodgers lost a lot of games his first year because of the defense, but at the same time Rodgers was scoring points in the 4th quarter, except for two games the Packers won.

In his defense, Love was missing his two biggest play makers on offense. But he had to take time off the clock and failed miserably. Packers fans will blame the defense, but it was equally Loves fault.
What Atlanta did to Love in 4th Qtr is on film now. You pressure, rattle him he folds. Every pas he threw in 4th qtr was off or close to a pick. When he has clean pocket he’s better, but that isn’t happening with Nymin & Newman up there. Gotta love Baktiari (WASTE $$$) dude never plays & Watson gets hurt making toast in morn. Shd trade him to Colts for J. Taylor, at least he plays.
also unload “2 Left feet Dillion” trips over his own feet, like Otis Cambell every time he runs ball.
