After never taking part in a London game, the Packers are going to take on the New York Giants in the UK. Losing a home game at Lambeau would have too high of an economic opportunity cost for the local Green Bay economy so the Pack never took part in a London game until recent season scheduling changes opened up the opportunity for this season.
Packers are 3-1 and will need to create more breathing room in the division over Minnesota with a win against New York. The Giants are also 3-1 with a recent win over the Chicago Bears that put them at 2-2. New York used their run game to stop the Bears with Saquon Barkley racking up 146 yards over 31 carries. This 3-1 for the Giants comes as the team has battled constant injuries and have fielded several untested players along the way.
As for the Packers, you can expect to see CB Jaire Alexander, absent last week against New England, back in action on the defense. It was looking grim a bit early on, but the Packers have faired well when it comes to injuries so far. Current training regimens for the team seem to be working out well this season.
Somehow, there is no fog or rain forecasted during the game despite its location. The Queen will not be in attendance.

100% Lafleur. Make an in game adjustment once in your career. He cannot coach while trailing. 2 of the best RBs in football and didn’t give it to them. 3rd and 2 and pass twice when Dillon gets 2 falling down. Terrible.
You can’t be shut out in the second half of NFL games and expect to win. Aaron Rodgers got away with one in Tampa. Where all you ladies made such a big deal about Rodgers finally beating Tom Brady even though Rodgers shit the bed in the second half. The defense can’t be expected to bail him out every week. And don’t start with the WR lie either. Romeo Doubs, after 5 games, has 22 catches and he didn’t even start the first two games. That projects out to 70 catches, 800 yards, and 7 TD’s. By comparison, Kevin’s beloved Jordy Nelson had 33 catches as a rookie. While Davante Adams had 38 catches. The gold standard for rookie WR’s, Greg Jennings, had 66 catches for 750 yards. Romeo Doubs will do just that. So the WR argument doesn’t fly. The 50 million dollar man has to play better. After 5 games he’s yet to play two good half’s of football back to back. Now pushing 39, the question has to be asked, has he lost it like Russell Wilson? It starts and ends with him. Now go ahead and point the finger at everyone else.
Wrong again Tom. They scored 2 in the second half. Oh and go away forever please.
You do understand how a safety is scored right Ferris? I can explain it to you if you like. It has nothing to do with Aaron Rodgers and the offense. Little Erin needs to put up points in the second half to win and he didn’t.
Tommi, like you did with the Packer defense…
Can you make an adjustment to the Packers scoring offense because of the safety they didn’t really earn, it would be nice to have it accurate.
Maybe you could also do the same kind of adjustments for the 31 other teams offense
Thank you so very much, look forward to your findings.
You said they were shut out. Not the offense was shut out. They scored 2. Twice the size of your dick in inches.
LOL holy shit….Listen up short bus…we’ve already been through this already. When i tell you to take notes, you take fucking notes!! I get seriously tired of your lack of retention and having to repeatedly teach you the same lessons over and over….
How about you just take notes the first time and say…Thank you PF4L.
.
During Devante’s rookie season….
Jordy Nelson had 98 catches for 1,519 yards and 13 TD’s.
Randall Cobb had 91 catches for 1,287 yards and 12TD’s.
Davante wasn’t relied on for the offense like Doubs is now, we had productive receivers on the roster already.
Where do you get so confused about this?
.
Let’s do this one last time ok Ragnar?
.
During Jordy’s rookie season…..
Greg Jennings had 80 catches for 1,292 and 9 TD’s
Donald Driver had 74 catches for 1,012 yards and 5 TD’s.
Jordy wasn’t relied on for the offense like Doubs is now, we had productive receivers on the roster already.
Where do you get so confused about this?
.
Lets recap, i’ll try to type slow for you.
With a depleted receiving room, this season we need the rookies to contribute….
hence why Doub’s is getting more targets.
Are you still with me, you understand that i hope?
.
Those other seasons you brought up…We had productive receivers (1,000 yard plus) already on the roster.
So the rookies back then didn’t get as much attention, because they weren’t needed to be impact players.
It’s called draft and develop. (I’ll explain that another time)
.
Did a light go on now Princess?
Do you think you understand now?
I hope i didn’t type too fast for you?
.
Now, if you still don’t understand this Princess, then this should be settled and we’ll just both agree you’re too stupid to talk to.
Please do not use Ragnar the Greats name in vane, please use Tommi the Twat…..
That’s right Kevin, that was the year we won the SB with all those pretty stats! Oh wait, no we didn’t, never mind. And none of that explains why Erin plays a good half then shits the bed in the second half. So everyone is good enough when we’re ahead but as soon as the game gets tight Rodgers folds like a cheap suit and it’s AJ Dillions fault or fill in the blank. Just so long as you leave Erin’s name out of it. I just feel fortunate to be witnessing some amazing QB play by the best QB ever! So what if Tom Brady scores a game winning TD on that last drive. What Erin’s done with this expansion team is truly remarkable!
Even after having it explained again, and again and…
Tommi still doesn’t understand the difference between now with Doubs and Watson as rookies, vs. back when Jordy and Davante were rookies.
.
Holy shit!
.
Stay in school kids.
To paraphrase a recent Total Packers headline; Packers Overcome Solid First Half Play, Blunder to Giants In London.
–
Can’t say they didn’t have a good crowd behind them. Really did have a home field vibe to the place.
I say we start Jordan Love next week. Let’s just see if he can play a complete game. After 5 games we all know Erin can’t. For all we know Jordan Love is the next Cooper Rush. Big Mike is coaching some of his best football in Dallas with his backup QB. Let’s see if MLF can do the same. One thing’s for certain. Jordan Love won’t roll his eyes or throw a hissy fit when he doesn’t get his way. And we won’t have to put up with Erin’s self indulgent book club. There’s a lot of positives here…
Just looking ahead….
One of these days we’ll have to give a true honest assessment of A.J. Dillon and what impact he has had on the field overall.
It’s probably not fair to compare him with Aaron Jones, maybe Jamaal Williams…idk, or maybe just on his own merit.
.
I understand he has thighs the size of Texas, but i just don’t see it on the field. I have my own thoughts on that i can share sometime.
.
The Packers have Dillon cheap for 1 more season.
Do the Packers want to keep Jones for 2023 at the price of 16 million?
And if not, are you comfortable with Dillon being the lead back?
.
Personally, i see a real drop off in production minus Jones.
.
I know there was off season hype talk about both our backs being 1,000 yards rushers, i also think we know, that isn’t happening.
.
We could also discuss MLF’s strategy on how he uses Jones and Dillon. I watch it and feel like it’s fairly simplistic, but it looks effective most of the time when the game is in hand, or more specifically, when we have the lead.
.
Maybe a future article to consider for the staff here. I pretend to know a little, but Howard is usually on top of this stuff.
We could just plain discuss Maladjusting Matt’s strategy period. Not just the strategy as it pertains to Jones and Dillon. Reasons for winning and losing are multi-varied. It comes down to a whole lot of things. The coaching and scheming of MLF is one of those variables. The defensive plan of action from Joe Barry is another. There is a unit that should be playing very well based on the talent at hand. Is Barry too married to his zone coverage?
–
I don’t think any of us knows with any certainty at all just how many times Aaron Rodgers might audible out, or not call the play that MLF wants him to call, or goes completely with the coach’s plan for that matter. I do believe that MLF has Aaron Rodgers, paired with more experienced receivers, to thank – in large part – for 39 regular season wins in his first three years as a head coach. I’m not so sure that if I was watching some other QB under center, following the MLF plan to the letter, that we’d be seeing drastically different results. The talent level of the GB receivers just isn’t what it should be and that is on the shoulders of the organization and GM who made the acquisitions they have made over the last several years. I could name several picks over the last several years but for now I’ll just cite one (for now). Amari Rodgers was a waste of a draft pick.
The Packers have a 2nd and a 3rd round WR that they do absolutely nothing with other than trick run plays. Amari Rodgers, I think I’ve only ever seen him do one of two things. Call for a fair catch or fumble the ball.
I brought up the Dillon assessment not for any reason pertaining to us winning and losing.’
Just merely to mention it will be interesting to see how they go with the backs next season as Jones comes with a high price tag.
Like…is Dillon a #1 back?
More importantly, because it took my mind off todays game for a bit.
First time back this season. Thoughts on this team…
****
We’ve officially hit live by Rodgers die by Rodgers mode like we did with favre and his interceptions. This team doesn’t win a game without him….but his audibling out of runs or never picking runs in the rpo during crunch time murdered this team yet again today. He’s a genius but he just needs to let people play. It’s the same reason for the rampant timeout wasting. Opposing teams have figured it out. What we saw today…was what we saw against thr niners…which is what we saw against Tampa bay…but it isn’t the Mccarthy 4th quarter offense its the Rodgers 4th quarter offense.
*
We have two corners who run 4.3 40s playing fuxking soft zone. This defense is 100% on the coordinator. Look at the end of the game when Rodgers decided he wanted to pass foe the glory on 3rd and 4th down instead of using his running game tjst was averaging 5 yards a carry…the giants went zero blitz and won the fucking game. They didn’t sit back in soft coverage and allow an easy td
**
Anyone seen davante Wyatt or Jordan love lately? Would be nice to have those 2 first round picks…actually contributing maybe?
**
Watson is luckier than shit doubs is on the roster. If he wasn’t he would really be getting shit on and so would gute.. if this hamstring is ongoing were going to have a wasted year and likely a shit career as a result. I didn’t like the pick a the time personally. Never pick players who are injured unless their name is Jeffrey simmons
**
How this team bounces back for next week’s and I will say it…MUST WIN…game will say it all. You can already see some fractures forming based on post game comments
AJ Dillion carried the ball 7 times on that game winning OT drive last week against the Patriots. With Dillion picking up several key first downs along the way while Aaron Jones stood on the sideline. Aaron Rodgers has been maddeningly inconsistent thru the first 5 games. He got off to a slow start last year, but it wasn’t nearly this bad. You can blame personnel, but if that were the case then he’d be consistently bad from start to finish. And that’s not what we’re seeing. A good half of football followed by an awful half. With the exception of the Patriots game where he stunk it up in the first half. Right now the biggest mistake I see that management made was giving this guy 150 million. Rodgers will probably turn things around but at what point does he not? He is 39 in two months.
Give him another 5 or 10 years in this league, maybe by then he’ll have a clue what he is doing and how to play QB in the NFL.
Maybe you could work with him in Green Bay for a couple weeks and show him his faults and how to correct them.
.
If he likes you, who knows, maybe you could be, idk,…….the new Packers QB coach?
I stumbled on this article by Bob McGinn.
What the scouts said after the draft, McGinn used to write these every year when he was with the Milwaukee Journal.
Some of these scouts really like athleticism and i’m sure RAS scores , one scout knows the difference between athleticism and a football player.
So i was wondering, how does Wyatt turn 25 in March after 4 years of college? I might have got my answer.
Wyatt and Walker share three things in common, both drafted by the Packers, both 1st round picks, and almost identical wonderlic scores.
.
I think both players should be given more time (games). But it’s entertaining to look at anyway.

This team is a disaster. Don’t be tricked by the 3-2 record. I think they’re as bad as the 2018 team despite having better players. LaFleur was terrible today and Rodgers is also a problem. I also think Rodgers has hijacked the offense. Of course, I don’t know, but it’s just my thoughts because Rodgers was throwing to Cobb on third and two on the last drive. That ball was tipped and so was the pass to Lazard on 4th down. One of the worst drives I’ve ever seen in recent memory. But Rodgers should’ve have been passing. The obvious choice was to run on third and two. Even if they only got one yard, they could’ve done a qb sneak on 4th down. So part of me thinks that Rodgers checked out because it was a key moment in the game and he wanted to go to his friend. For some reason, I can’t believe that LaFleur would call a pass there. So if LaFleur can’t control Rodgers then this team is done.
We could be seeing the beginning of the end for this team. The super bowl window has probably passed. The defense is still not elite. They’re definitely not bad, but they need the offense to be more consistent and help them out, which the Packers don’t appear to be able to do. I expect them to struggle the rest of the year. Watson will be a likely no show and was a total bust. He might be good a few years from now. Except the problem is that the Packers needed him for this year. But he barely gets any reps and he’s hurt all the time. Of course, there’s no urgency from management. What they should do is admit that this isn’t good enough and try to get OBJ again like last year. Except actually give him the number one spot. That’s the only way to have a chance. Otherwise, they’re just going game to game hoping for the best. It’s already week 5 and things would need to improve drastically for them to be a real super bowl team.
I think Stiggy’s thoughts on having two corners that run 4.3 and the rest of that paragraph is spot on.
I’m also starting to believe the coaching is not elite.
Did anyone else notice #70 getting put on his ass during pass blocking, he might have good feat for pulling and whatever, but he falls like a big oak tree.
I have no love for #70, but the formation and play call sucked shit. First D Lawrence is one of the top Defensive tackles in the league, all 340+ pounds of him.
Your close to field goal range and you go empty backfield. Sure it was 3 and 8, but with no RBs I’m just guessing that the defense is not going to commit to the run in any form or fashion. In fact the defense feigned an A gap blitz, and dropped into coverage because my guess is they knew the Packer tendency with no RBs in the backfield is to pass the ball. This is not the first time this exact scenario has played out for the Packers in the last few years. Get on the edge of field goal range, go empty backfield, feign a blitz, drop all but 4 into coverage, take away the quick pass, and Rodgers gets sacked. Then low and behold it is time to punt.
I have to believe that with the Giants showing a blitz to the right side of the Packers line that the line should have shifted protection (#71) toward #70. Instead Runyon was left with no one to block while #70 was to take on a 340+ pound (PFF rated 90, Elite) tackle who had no run responsibility because there was no RBs in the backfield.
There is nothing wrong with having a RB in the back field. He could pick up enough yards to make an easier field goal, or gain a first down, and if the defense does blitz pickup a blitz.
I don’t know if we should assume something is something, unless it is.
Or that Rodgers is rebellious to MLF, and he’s “uncontrollable”
Do we hear hints of that from anywhere (besides fans who don’t know?)
Does MLF hint of that while doing pressers?
I mean….is the basis real?
.
I can’t believe a lot of the shit McCarthy did, but should we “imagine” it was Rodgers fault.
Are Gutes failures Murphy’s fault?
Maybe some, maybe not, we don’t know.
.
Joefan…you are correct if i’m reading you right…..
Having pro ready receivers on the roster ready to produce is real.
Not having to rely on a rookie draft class is probably not ideal.
.
This is not a Super Bowl team. When you are relying on a rookie draft class to put you over the top, or piece your receiving room back together, you’re probably not a Super Bowl team.
.
If Gute was going to deplete the receiver room, then why in Gods name do you keep Aaron Rodgers and sign him, and commit 150 million to him on a new deal?
.
I’ll say it again….The right move would have been to trade Rodgers to the 49ers for multiple assets.
That would have been in the best interest of the Green Bay Packers.
.
Instead Gute depletes the receiver talent, and signs a record setting, MVP, HOF QB to a huge contract.
I don’t know if that’s insanity, or just plain stupid.
Especially if Rodgers last year is next season.
.
Personally, my guess is Rodgers plays through the 2024 season to reap all of his 150 million that’s guaranteed.
Then Rodgers retires, and the Packers get nothing, including a SB appearance.
* Having to rely on a rookie draft class is probably not ideal.
