10 Reasons Why The Packers Have A High Chance Of Winning The Super Bowl

The Packers have won a great deal of empire-building worthy season games over the past decade, but they haven’t been back to the Super Bowl for as long, let alone win one more. Their all-time MVP Aaron Rodgers has been giving hints of retirement, as he is now 38 years old. Can they win another Super Bowl?

As a team, the Packers pack quite a punch. Their line-up consists of a four-time MVP, a defense with the potential for frustrating opponents when they’re playing at full force, and a great running back explosive duo in Jones and Dillon. All in all, they have the potential to go all the way this year. If you aren’t convinced yet, read on. If you want to bet while cheering for your favorite team, have a look at these best sports betting websites.

Four-time MVP

Aaron Rodgers is the Packer’s superstar four-time MVP. And even though he is almost 38 years old, it would be very hard to take note of this fact, unless you specifically knew his age. He shows no signs of stopping and he’s coming off another magnificent season.

A Defense With Potential

This year’s Packers are packing a powerful defensive team. Kenny Clark, Rashan Gary, De’Vondre Campbell combined with Jaire Alexander, Rasul Douglas and Eric Strokes give out a strong and experienced team which will be hard to cut through.

Aaron Rodgers will be supported by a very strong defense he’s been lacking since the last time the Packers won the Super Bowl. All these facts give hope that this could be their year again. While there are concerns for the Packers this season, Aaron Rodgers himself should not be one of them.

NFL Draft of 2021

The 2021 Draft Class is likely to perform very well on the field. Eric Strokes had a respectable start in his rookie season with the team. He has a great tackle, and he was almost to be recognized as All-Rookie if not for his dropped interceptions. His second year with the team is certain to be even better.

NFL Draft of 2022

Brian Gutenkunst managed to secure 3, out of the 34 top picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. We can never be sure how a pick will turn out, but the potential is very interesting, to say the least. One of the picks, Quay Walker has an amazing combination of size and speed.

Impressive Secondary

Guys like Jaire Alexander, the highest paid in the league at his position, are among the best and most feared in the league. Filled out with Eric Stokes, Rasul Douglas, and Darnell Savage — all of which could play in the slot.

Less Pressure On Aaron Rodgers

Unfortunately for the Packers for the past several years, it was on Aaron Rodgers to carry the weight of the team. However, with his line-up of defense things are looking to change. With an improved defense the offense should be able to control the pace of the game.

They Have Faced Five Playoff Teams

The Packers have faced several playoff teams recently. They are currently in a dominate position in the NFC North. Many recent losses were due to lingering injury issues and a special teams in disarray. Both those issues have been addressed since last season.

They Are Filling The Board

Just because the Packers lost Davante Adams doesn’t mean they cannot score some mean points. Even though their offense isn’t the best, it’s still a mighty contender. They average about 24 points per game and are still the top contender in the NFC North division.

They Have Been Through Tough Times

The Packers have undergone some real hardship, and losing Davante Adams is just proof of that. The Packers lost both him and MVS at wide receiver position in the offseason. With Aaron Rodgers’ lingering injuries last season, they are a battle-tested pack of warriors.

Hard To Score Against

They are a team that is very hard to score against. Ranked tenth last season for points allowed which means that any team that will stand against them will have to work extra hard to get into the end zone. Averaging around 21.3 points scored against them, they are a tough team to beat on the field.

The defense still has a lot to prove. Most people have forgotten how bad the defense was throughout the year because of the amazing performance in the playoffs which includes myself. But if you look at the stats, the packers defense during the last seven games of the season was one of the worst in the NFL. They were 28th in points allowed and 28th in rushing defense, They also allowed 16 touchdown passes which was tied for most in the NFL.

But they do have good players, so they were able to pull together an amazing game. However, maybe that late season performance is why Gutenkunst went heavy on defense again in the first round. I think Quay Walker and Wyatt were big needs. It wasn’t enough to keep Campbell and they needed to build the linebackers up still. Gutenkunst could’ve gotten away with doing nothing at linebacker because of Campbell, but I’m glad they added even more. A true defense needs a strong linebacker group and the Packers haven’t had that for a long time. And for Wyatt it’s the same situation. They need more on defensive line that Clark and Lowry, For those reasons, I think the potential is there along with the return of Alexander.
