Game Day: Green Bay Packers Visit Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium

That day is now upon us: the NFC North battle between the 10-4 Minnesota Vikings and the 11-3 Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium in a state with enough inbreeding to make Alabama blush. It’s Monday Night Football, folks.

We’re going to need the Packers defense to be firing on all cylinders today and hopefully QB Aaron Rodgers ate his Wheaties this morning. I’m tired of ugly wins – these clowns need to be crushed decisively. The Packers are still a very healthy team and will be facing the Detroit Lions next week without their QB1, Matthew Stafford. If there was a game this season to give 100%, this is the one.

The Packers have done well for themselves this season by allowing teams to make big yardage while keeping them out of the redzone and staying ahead of the turnover curve. Green Bay has only defeated a single team this season on the road that is more than .500 — and the team they did beat, the Kansas City Chiefs, were without their QB1, Patrick Mahomes. A repeat of the 49ers loss will be a disaster for the teams morale going into the playoffs.

A Few Things You Should Know:

A win tonight will give the Packers their first division title since 2016

Vikings QB Kirk Cousins has never won a Monday night game

The Packers have never won a game at U.S. Bank Stadium

According to Vivid Seats, Packer fans will make up about 20% of the game’s attendance

If the Packers defeat the Vikings, and next week the Detroit Lions, and the Seahawks defeat the 49ers next week, the Packers will enter the playoffs as the #1 seed.

Vikings RB Dalvin Cook will not be active this game – he managed 154-yards rushing and 37-yards receiving against the Packers in week 2

The weather doesn’t matter because the Vikings are pansies that play indoors

The Packers are 5.5 point underdogs

Ill be pissed massively if we lose this game with what is at stake. The Saints possibly having to come to Lambeau for a playoff game changes everything about the NFC in my opinion. No excuses. No, well we’ll will take this game off and beat the lions next week to win the division. Fuck that, They have to win this game tonight or they aint doing shit in the playoffs.

Skinny….What have you seen during the season that tells you the Packers will roll? Somehow….were 11-3, enjoy the ride, lets see what happens. But don’t break anything in your house or kick the dog.

To be fair NEVER winning there is really 0-2. Cousins is 0-8 on MNF.
I am more interested in how many times Kevin King will be burned out of his jock strap…what is the over/under on that?

If the Packers do not play to their abilities and do NOT LOOK for the open receiver, game over. This game could get real ugly if A. Jones does poorly. Trusting that J Williams can bring something to the table tonight as well. The game will also be decided by our middle defense (as usual). The TE and crossing routes will be very important to containing the Vikings passing game. The safeties will need to be aware of the deep ball all game long (including the first few plays). We need BIG EFFORTS from Clark, and the Smith brothers, I believe that Lancaster and Lowery are hurting a bit. King always seems to worry me defensively, he needs to step it up a notch or two . . . It will be interesting to say the least! Trusting that we will NOT have a return to San Diego or San Francisco type of game . . .

Hopefully it’s Aaron Jones and not Jamaal Williams!! For the sake of my fantasy football championship

^What’s not to like^…a realistic Packer fan who understands the concept and reality of the situation.
      *
Agreed on all above, and i’ll add where games are usually won or lost. Up at the line, this can’t be another 49er deal, and that’s exactly what the queens are going for.
      *
I know a few things….I know Packer Nation will bust a nut with happiness with a win…..i know if the Packers battle hard and compete like dogs for 4 quarters but lose, i have no problem with that…..i know if the Packers get embarrassed, it will show me how much this team has gained since Gute took the reigns,…… I also know the queens defense is no joke at home, where they only give up on average about 12 PPG
      *
Can the Packers win….absolutely. Don’t get hammered up front, and show something of a running game and win the turnover battle.
      *
Keep in mind, this is a growth year, not a Super Bowl year. Enjoy this for what it is…Perspective.

^good post. The only problem is that this just pushes expectations up for next year. And it also feels like they need to take advantage of their opportunity this year, because how often are you going to get through a year with their health? Literally no major injuries. Winning/sustained success isn’t easy, nothing is guaranteed. But yeah I generally agree with you sentiment that they are playing with house money at this point.

A few things I would like to see and that could increase their chances of winning tonight. Move Za’Darius Smith around along the defensive front, keep the Vikings guessing and make them account for him every play. Move Davante Adams around, play him in the slot like you did against Chicago. Get the other receivers involved, and in a related note, get the running backs involved in the passing game. They do those things, they have a decent shot at winning.

  8. Avatar for Kato Kato says:

There is the tunnel vision for Adams coming back to bite them in the ass. A competent defensive coordinator will scheme for that

  9. Avatar for MMSUCKS MMSUCKS says:

Sorry to say, but it’s not looking good for Rodgers tonight, he’s missing players, he’s missing plays, he’s throwing the ball over their head, and he had the tight end wide open down the middle and instead threw the interception to Davante Adams because he looks for him too much and the defense knows it. Plus it hasn’t helped that a few of the receivers have dropped balls as well. Rodgers needs to wake up. Once again, the defense has come out smoking only to be let down by the offense. By the middle of the second half the defense will be spent and the offense will continue to shit the bed. Sad

    • Avatar for Kato Kato says:

Oddly enough, I feel he is playing alright tonight. That was just a hell of a defensive playcall that resulted in the pick. Of course, it’s a result of Packers not throwing to anyone besides Adams about half the time

  10. Avatar for Kato Kato says:

The Packers need to hold on to the fucking ball. Aaron Jones with the fumble and drop. Lazard with the drop. Adams with the fumble. Williams with the dropped INT

    • Avatar for Skinny Skinny says:

Total joke offensively. Turnovers. Cant catch the damn ball. Cant get the snap off. They aint going anywhere in the playoffs.

  11. Avatar for Skinny Skinny says:

Fuck this team! How the hell do you play like this offense when you know damn well whats on the line! Horse shit! Same ol shit!

  12. Avatar for Kato Kato says:

Wtf kind of throw was that Rodgers? That throw is the difference between being down one and being up 3. That will come back to haunt them, mark my words.

Haha what the fuck did I just watch, one win away from a bye seems crazy. Cousins is a loser, best thing to happen to the division since cutty.

Fumble, Fumble, Pick, Here is the game Vikings, served up to you in your building with a side of here is Kirk’s big chance to shine….and Cousins just flat of plays like Cousins. An $84 million purple pile of pigshit. Keep feeding Z. Smith whatever you are feeding him, un-blockable.

    • Avatar for Skinny Skinny says:

If the defense plays like that nobody in the AFC has a chance against us in the Super Bowl.

Wow. That locker room is having a good time. That defense, where have they been the past three months? Kenny Clark’s resurgence has been key. Taking a load of attention off of Z
