Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports that CB Tony Brown was fined for a penalty in week one against the Bears:
Packers CB Tony Brown was fined $28,075 for unnecessary roughness in Week 1 against the Bears but Tramon Williams not fined for his late hit OB. https://t.co/tkv1KpxERE

The penalty was the result of a blindside block of the punter in the 4th quarter. There was also another penalty involving Brown that did not result in a fine.
Brown is still a young player so this is expected to a degree. I know at his alma mater, Alabama Crimson Tide, coach Nick Sabin wouldn’t tolerate it. I doubt current Packers coach Matt LaFleur exhibits the same level of discipline in his team as Saban, but I sure wouldn’t mind seeing him try. Either way, it was a bit of a bullshit fine anyway. Also, keep in mind that Brown earns around $520k a year so the $28k fine certainly isn’t pocket change for him. There might also be a pattern forming as he was also penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct last December when the Packers played the Detroit Lions.
Here is a clip of Saban reacting to one of Brown’s penalties with Crimson Tide:

Saban doesn’t play that shit and neither should LaFleur.
As far as talent, Brown has got it. Just before committing to Alabama, he was ranked by ESPN as the second-best corner in the nation. He worked his ass off to get on the roster this season and I am certain we are going to see some fantastic plays from the guy.
You can read more about Brown(including some of his college mishaps) in a recent article by our own Rob Born: Packers Cornerback Tony Brown’s Stock Is Ascending

Brown has played too aggressive since he got here, now that’s it’s hit him in the wallet, maybe he’ll reign it in.
