Winston Moss Is Gone Now, Too

Winston Moss

Not that we’re going to miss him, but the Green Bay Packers canned associate head coach and linebackers coach Winston Moss on Tuesday.

Specifically, interim head coach Joe Philbin apparently made the decision. And good for Joe Philbin.

“We thank Winston for his contributions to the Packers over the past 13 years,” Philbin said in a statement. “We hope for the best for Winston and his family moving forward.”

But not really. Fuck Winston Moss.

Remember this shit show?

The Packers didn’t make Moss available to the media after that.

It has been suggested that Moss was ticked that he didn’t get the interim job instead of Philbin. Moss has interviewed for several head coaching jobs over the years. He hasn’t gotten any of those jobs. Maybe that’s because he’s a fucking prick.

Philbin, on the other hand, has actually coached another team. The Miami Dolphins.

Then there’s this.

While I would not disagree with that statement in any way, it’s just more internal discord. This thing has gone off the rails, man. From Mike McCarthy to Ty Montgomery to Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to Aaron Rodgers to Winston Moss.

And do you know where it starts? It starts at the top. That’s the reason it has gone off the rails.

When is the board going to do something about Mark Murphy?

Yeah, I dont disagree with Moss. It’s about time everyone in the organization is held accountable. Including him.

    In other News that matters…..

We lay our 41st President to rest. Unfortunately it takes something like this for bipartisan and unity to shine.

    Godspeed George H. W. Bush.

    Thank you for your service.

I heard something odd from Mike Clemens on WSSP. He said that immediately after the Packers game against the Cardinals, as he was leaving, Gutekunst and Ball seemed to be joking and in great spirits even though the Packers played their worst game since 1991. He said he’s never seen this from Packer management after a loss.

Hes not wrong. But this guy was probably the biggest asshole in Packers coaching history. Wasn’t he along with Rob Davis the two guys that were bullying Packer beat writers the last couple years?

I agree SKINNY. However, those beat writers need to grow some balls and start asking the right questions. Most of the Packer beat writers do not hold these athletes’ accountable for anything. Mostly asking the same useless questions. Which I believe results in the disrespect that they are getting from some of the Packer personnel, warranted or not. They need to start asking Rodgers why he doesn’t hit the “open” receiver 5-10 yards down the field, instead of going for the “big play”, throwing it out of bounds, or taking the sack. Look what happened after Buffoon had a few years as HC. He turned into a prick and refused to answer even some of their cursory questions. Weakness breeds contempt . . .

Yea…i think the beat writers who have tenure and job security have asked the tough questions occasionally (not often enough, imo.

The rest of them feel bullied, and didn’t want to make Daddy mad, so they cowered in fear. That one reporter did kinda call out Moss, asking him in not so many words…wtf is wrong with you? He asked, what can we do to get better responses from you? Moss looked out in space, paused for about 15 seconds, then finally said…”i can’t help you”. Being a complete dick.

I can’t help but wonder if he was trying to get fired even back then, he had to know how he was coming off and did it on purpose. They stopped putting him out there. they did the same with Clements before they fired him, but for different a reason.

I think it’s safe to assume that he was McCarthys boy. His tweet not only ripped on Rodgers, but the whole organization. Tell me he didn’t know he was going to get fired for that. Tip of the hat for Philbin taking action promptly…strong.

I don’t know about anyone else, but if someone with knowledge and inside info in the Packer building wrote a book of all the inside secrets that no one knows, i’d be first in line when it went on sale and would pay whatever.

Bring back Harlan! And if you need to get a hold of him to bitch about an issue you have with the team you could reach him on a landline phone in his office at Lambeau, ha.

Internal discord, communication silos, off the rails… what a mess. Lets listen to Murphy talk about how his self imposed structure is going to work because of the “people and relationships.”

All I can think of is that comment by Alonzo Highsmith, “I’m not the first one to leave, and I won’t be the last.”

Moss talks about holding people to a Lombardi standard. Unfortunately, this team has been held to a Mark Murphy standard for too long, which is not much of a standard at all.. #MakeThePlayoffsTown can’t even do that anymore.

      Fkn A

STOP ASKING ME ABOUT STRUCTURE!! IT’S ABOUT PEOPLE!! LMAO

And the person who is the Packers President, is the one ultimately responsible for letting the train run off the tracks and he’s still standing, go figure.

      BROKEN

  6. KILLER

So Moss wrote some accurate truth and honest opinion in a text or tweet or whatever.
    Can’t have that!
    Fire him!!

    This is so Packers.
