Mike Daniels And Trevor Davis Are Done

Not surprising: returner Trevor Davis is done for the year after the Green Bay Packers activated Jake Kumerow from injured reserve. Surprising: defensive tackle Mike Daniels is done for the year, as well.

Both players were put on injured reserve on Saturday.

Daniels injured his foot against Seattle. He missed the loss to the Vikings.

And so what happens now?

The Packers have a fullback again!

Shit. We were talking about the Aaron Rodgers’ mustache turning the season around, but this is the move!

The Packers used to have three fullbacks. Remember that?

I can name them for you: cult hero John Kuhn, Quinn Johnson and Korey Hall.

Bam!

And then, all of a sudden, nothing. Aaron Ripkowski, The Ripper, released before the season! Joe Kerridge? Didn’t make the roster either. Both guys had two-plus years with the team.

And now the man is Danny Vitale. Sixth-round pick of the Buccaneers in 2016. Practice squad. Signed by the Browns. Released earlier this year. Packers practice squad. And now… active fucking roster!

I hope this dude can play defensive tackle.

On another note, Mike Daniels’ season stats: 18 tackles, two sacks. Meh!

The Packers are worse without Daniels, but do better for $10 million per season, please.

So when do we start talking about cutting Daniels? Doing so would free up 6.1 million.

But taking caution into consideration….we’d still have to find a replacement for his sacks and the one forced fumble he’s accumulated the last 42 games. On top of that, we’d have to find someone who could talk tough.

I say we keep the big rascal.

Losing at home to a rook QB leading a 2-9 team at home in perfect GB game weather…..
Perfect way to end this effing season….

MM needs to be gone – TOMORROW !!!

Sad Lions couldn’t pull off upset to put GB into cellar

You knew McCarthy wasn’t gonna be happy without being able to “run by rotation” once Montgomery was traded. McCarthy probably thinks he’s still saving Jones for the playoffs. Looking forward to the FB plays that used to go to Kuhn and Ripkowski…

    Lol. This team is funny.

As for cutting Mike Daniels, I dont think so. He hasnt had the stats to back up the big contract, but he is available and rarely injured. Availability is big, especially for D tackles. He is still a good player. Lack of availability is what is ultimately going to cost Nick Perry a spot on this roster.

I think you are correct, i also believe Daniels is a good player. But he’s not paid to be a good player, he’s paid to be a impact player, a playmaker. JJ Watt has made more plays in one game, than Daniels has made all season, the same could be said for his brother.

      What’s wrong with that picture?

Luckily PFF doesn’t rank players based on their income. Otherwise he’d be a top player at his position. Instead he’s ranked the 48th best Def. lineman.

There are hundreds and hundreds of good players in the NFL, none of them making anywhere near 10 million/year. Great players make 10 million plus. No offence Randall and Nick

ROI reality has to surface eventually, if i have to bring it to light, then so be it, i’ve been doing it for years.

      You’re welcome.

Daniels last forced fumble was Sept 10th 2017.

His last forced fumble before that was Sept. 28th 2015. The same year that TJ Watt played his first game with the Wisconsin Badgers.

In Daniels career, he averages .28 forced fumbles a season. He averages 4.14 sacks a season. I don’t think he’s keeping defensive coordinators up late at night.

Availability just means you have the opportunity to make plays because you are on the field. But if you aren’t making plays then. Availability loses it’s value.

        Completely agree.

Trevor Davis is back on IR for the 2nd time this year! He is worse than Cobb, and that’s saying something.
