The Green Bay Packers traveled to Seattle on Tuesday night ahead of their Thursday game with the Seahawks. They left four starters back in Green Bay.
Those guys are receiver Randall Cobb, cornerback Kevin King, safety Kentrell Brice and linebacker Nick Perry. It has been suggested that they are staying in Green Bay to rehab injuries and could still make the trip to Seattle before Thursday night. That scenario seems doubtful if you ask us.
Cobb has been dealing with a hamstring injury for most of the season. He aggravated it last week during practice. If Cobb misses this week, he’ll have only played in five of 10 games this year.
King also has a hamstring injury and has missed three games so far this year. Brice injured his ankle against Miami. Perry injured his knee against Miami. This will likely be the first game Perry misses this season. Surprising, considering his injury history. Perry has been ineffective when he’s been on the field, reportedly because he wasn’t fully back from offseason ankle surgery.
Other than Brice, you could say that the rest of these guys are injury prone. They’ve all missed time in multiple seasons and they’ve all had multiple injuries in the same season. So there’s nothing to be surprised about here.
