The Green Bay Packers traveled to Seattle on Tuesday night ahead of their Thursday game with the Seahawks. They left four starters back in Green Bay.
Those guys are receiver Randall Cobb, cornerback Kevin King, safety Kentrell Brice and linebacker Nick Perry. It has been suggested that they are staying in Green Bay to rehab injuries and could still make the trip to Seattle before Thursday night. That scenario seems doubtful if you ask us.
Cobb has been dealing with a hamstring injury for most of the season. He aggravated it last week during practice. If Cobb misses this week, he’ll have only played in five of 10 games this year.
King also has a hamstring injury and has missed three games so far this year. Brice injured his ankle against Miami. Perry injured his knee against Miami. This will likely be the first game Perry misses this season. Surprising, considering his injury history. Perry has been ineffective when he’s been on the field, reportedly because he wasn’t fully back from offseason ankle surgery.
Other than Brice, you could say that the rest of these guys are injury prone. They’ve all missed time in multiple seasons and they’ve all had multiple injuries in the same season. So there’s nothing to be surprised about here.
Look at those guns!! Built like Tarzan, plays like Jane.
Broken
Cobb is pretty much worthless. Fuck him. Must be nice to get #1WR money to do next to nothing. Who needs to lead the league in TD’s when you can average 1.6 touchdowns a year?
Anyone with half a brain can tell you that 87>18
Funny how everyone was SOOOOOO concerned about Jordy’s contract at the beginning of the year but no one batted a fucking eye at Cobb’s. Let’s just completely ignore past production from both players and go in the opposite direction based off of Cobb’s age which is totally irrelevant because he probably wont be here next year anyway.
I did on Cobb. I said this on keeping Jordy and everyone said no. Si screw those who wanted Cobb. As far as the others stating home, they’ve been home.
Starters is loosely defined here. King is the only one who might start for another team the other guys are backups
King has one more season to get over that hump and show some improvement with his health, otherwise they need to cut bait with him too.
My recollection is Bryce was injured during the 2016 NFCC opening kickoff. Bryce was placed on IR after 6 or 7 games last year, and has not been able to make it through a couple of games this year. I think for a part time starter over those three years Bryce has shown a tendency to be injury prone.
Good. Id rather just put them on waivers Friday morning and move on. Gute needs to keep sending the message that player availability is a going to be huge part of whether or not you will stay on this team.
Right on skinny.
Rehab warriors. The packers lead the NFL in this and ass clowns.
Lol @ the ass clown remark! Too fucking true!
