Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers grew up in northern California, which has been burning down. Rodgers has been visibly moved by the things happening there and has decided to do something about it.
Rodgers is giving $1 million of his dollars to help the fire relief efforts.

All the money goes to a great organization for the immediate needs and the recovery efforts for the #CampFireParadise

That’s a hell of a gesture. Of course, Rodgers can afford it. He makes $33.5 million per year.
Rodgers grew up in Chico. The nearby town of Paradise has pretty much been eliminated by the fire. The Camp Fire, as it is known, has killed 81 people and destroyed 18,421 structures.

I heard it wasn’t his idea and he rejected it when it was proposed to him. But then his agent explained the full deal = people are catching on to Aaron’s pettiness and artificiality. This move is great PR which further secures his lucrative State Farm spokesperson status and opens up other such opportunities. The agent had a study commissioned and this 1 million dollar contribution should net a return of 18 million for Aaron.
As long as he made it very very publicly and really really played it up. Which, of course, is exactly what Aaron then did.
Well Lonely Boy, why don’t you lend some credibility to your accusations for once, and tell us who you “heard” he rejected this from?
And why you’re at it….tell us your source of info regarding this agent’s studied commissioned.
Man up Lonely Boy.
Its a million more than most people give regardless of motive, so lets shut the hell up shall we?
We now take a break from “The Days of our Lonely life” for a football thought.
I’m watching Clinton Dix play tonight, and the only difference i see from his days in Green Bay is the color of his uniform.
If he thinks he’s in line for a big payday, he’s got another thing coming…..Holy trainwreck.
I was hoping someone would bring that up tonight! He has been getting burned all night!
yup. Saw that. Washington’s season was over BEFORE Alex Smith injury … cause they got Alabama on their team now.
