Ndamukong Suh is a familiar face for the Green Bay Packers. He played five eventful seasons with the Detroit Lions.
Suh is now a member of the Los Angeles Rams. Naturally, he got asked about Aaron Rodgers this week.
Rodgers and Suh have had their moments over the years. The last time Suh faced Rodgers was 2014. That last game was when Suh purposely stepped on Rodgers’ leg in an attempt to injure him.
After initially getting suspended for a game, the NFL instead fined Suh.
Safe to say he and Rodgers aren’t pals.
“I don’t know if he likes me,” Suh said. “But I don’t really need a response. My response is when he’s getting up from the ground. That’s all I’m excited for.
“Or giving him a nice [loss] which I’ve done plenty of times in the past. That’s’ the ultimate goal when going against an elite quarterback like that.”
If by plenty, you mean three, then sure. Suh is 3-7 against Rodgers.
Frankly, we doubt many people like Suh. He’s consistently ranked as one of the dirtiest players in the league. There were other incidents with the Packers too. Suh stomped on Evan Dietrich-Smith in 2011. He tried to fight T.J. Lang in 2015.
Suh has 20 tackles and three sacks through seven games this season.
Trying to fight someone is dirty? Interesting. If this was a Mordi article I would bring up Charles Martin.
What is interesting is how bad the Rams run defense apparently is. They are giving up 4.7 YPC with a DT combo of Suh and Donald. Would have never thought that
Don’t you worry. McCarthy won’t exploit that anytime soon. He will have his full compliment of receivers this week so they can go for the kill shot on 3rd and 1.
