On one hand, it’s kind of hard to believe that Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews is still in demand as a pitchman. He hasn’t had a great season in some time. At this point he is probably more recognizable than he is good.
But Matthews has the good looks and a dry wit. Also, it probably doesn’t hurt that he’s white. The camera likes him and so does middle America.
So Matthews still gets commercial deals off the field. His latest is for Call Of Duty Black Ops 4. It plays on the bogus roughing the passer penalties Matthews got called for early in the season. Those came against Kirk Cousins and Alex Smith in consecutive weeks.
Check it out. It’s plenty humorous.

Yup.

Piss on your weaving identity politics into this, and yes, you are. Just can’t resist a race baiting dig now can we?
Wanna know who middle America Wisconsin absolutely loves? How about Donald Driver. He does his share of pitchman work, maybe not nationally but he is very well regarded here. It probably doesn’t hurt that he’s not viewed through a prism of race either but more for the currency he built up as a good man and great Packer.
You were spot on in the first paragraph, and then you went there.
