As much as there’s been made about the Chicago Bears acquisition of former defensive player of the year Khalil Mack, it appears he’s only going to get a limited number of snaps against the Green Bay Packers.
Chicago's Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith will make their Bears debuts tonight at Green Bay vs. the Packers. They won't play the full game — the Bears still want to be careful with them — but they will play enough to try to impact it.

Probably not what Bears fans were looking for.
Mack practiced for the first time this year on Monday. He had been a holdout with the Oakland Raiders prior to that, so it makes sense that he would be on a snap count. That’s good for the Packers.
As for Roquan Smith, the linebacker was the Bears first-round pick. He didn’t sign until August 14, so he didn’t have a full training camp either.
IN OTHER NEWS: J.T. Watt currently has 3 sacks with the 4th quarter still to play.
Now….i’m not a big fan of…you should have picked this guy, or should have picked that guy, while looking back in hindsight. But i will say this. Kevin King better turn out to be one hell of a corner back in the NFL.
It’s funny how talent seeking guru Big Ted can travel the Nation scouting players, looking to outsmart the rest of the General Managers in the NFL. But can’t make the 90 minute trip to Madison.
I commend the board member that told Murphy he had to replace Ted. But at the same time you were 5-6 years too late.
Let me help you…4 sacks.
Long live Dumb Ass Ted.
Yeah he looks like he can play a little. Ted already forgot he didn’t make that pick.
In other news Trevor Davis has a hamstring injury that will make him inactive….how do I get a job where I don’t ever have to do anything and still get paid? How many career receptions does this guy have you ask…..8…for 94 yards in 2 years. Jeff Janis had that one one half of a game I remember. So kept for special teams and now the fucker is sitting. Cobb better be back there catching punts, and they better take knees on all kickoffs so Montgomery doesn’t fumble.
Same s*** different year. Mac looks worth the money to me, even playing part time. Where did the Bears find this All-Pro quarterback? Did anyone see Matthews bite on the quarterback option like a rookie?
I just jumped off the fan bus. As long as McFuckingidiot is the coach I am no longer watching. Ferris signing off.
I am blacking out watching this game
And Rodgers season is over. Ugh
Well… Fuck.
Judging how his leg took the weight of that lineman, I’m fearing a torn ACL and/or MCL
Next year that will be a 15 yard penalty, landing on top of a QB with most of your weight.
It will be referred to as “Aaron Rodgers rule II”
Ain’t that already the Anthony Barr rule? Lol
Gonna be real funny tomorrow, watching are all those guys who were saying Green Bay won out on that Khalil Mack trade by not giving up the farm, eat their crow.
Yup.
But he only had ten sacks the year before! And the year before he was tied with Nick Perry for sacks. Sometimes I am embarrassed to even associate with other packers fans. I hope a certain poster on this site is watching the game and realizing how wrong he is to even consider Chandler Jones to be a superior player to Mack. Embarrassing
Hopefully they end up with a top 5 pick
Well hopefully this is big Mikes last year as coach of the Packers.
Isn’t our D-Line supposed to be the strength of our defense this year? Supposed to be the unit generating pressure to make life easier for the secondary?
Yeah… zero of that shit so far. Making Trubisky look like a poised, comfortable, and confident vet.
Yes Adam…but keep in mind, that was one of the many…..IF’S.
If Wilkerson can return to his old 2015 form.
You get the idea….lol
This is so ugly, to deal you just have to laugh it off.
You ain’t kidding. I see zero pressure, zero creativity, zero press success, and the same zone failures from years past.
On a side note, we just got our first points and my GF turns to me and say “Yayyyyy, Bing Crosby got you guys a few points!” facetiously.
On Macks pick 6….As the Bears rush only 3, watch Corey Linsley not only get beat almost instantly, but gives Roy Harris a helpful shove towards Kizer.
What a fucking clown show this is.
That was awful. No clue what Linsley was thinking there
It’s a designed screen play, so basically he bumps the rusher, then goes out to block, but he was too quick about it and the play never developed because of it.
Overall the defense wasnt bad. However, to be taken seriously in this league you have to make the critical stops. They did not do that this game.
They did at the end of the game, credit given. But on the flip side, it’s fairly evident the bears haven’t learned how to win yet.
Randall Cobb playing for a new contract
That was good to see. Let this time be someone else who gives him that contract.
Well that fucking game will definitely live in all of our collective memory. I CANNOT fucking believe they pulled this out.
What a god damn second half.
Yes sir
Wow. This will be unpopular here, but give credit to McCarthy to switching to a no huddle hurry up offense to neutralize the bears pass rush. And obviously Rodgers for an all time gutsy performance. I wonder how serious the injury is and how it will impact him moving forward. The defense had its moments, but needs to be better moving forward
Maybe it was Philbin’s or Rodgers idea, hard to know.
3 quarters into this game i’m thinking, the Packers are going to play the queens next week when they are 0-1.
For those wondering why Rodgers is the highest paid player…..answered.
On rare acknowledgement….Credit given to Cobb for his long 75 yd TD pass, also given to Perry for his sack at the end. I don’t recall the last time Cobb or Perry earned their game check. I could say congrats, or it’s about damn time, i’ll choose the latter.
Closing thoughts……One hell of a game and 2nd half like Adam noted. But…..Bears at Lambeau?……Trubisky vs Rodgers?…. it should never have been that hard.
The Packers knew they would see different looks from past Bears teams. I would give the Packers an F for being prepared for the different looks to start the game and not helping the O-line by play calls and formations. I would give both the offense and defense an A for halftime adjustments. It also helps more than words can describe what it means to have Rodgers on the field.
Even though it is the Bears, the Packers offense and defense did their part in closing out the game.
I don’t see how Rodgers knee does not effect Rodgers mobility for several weeks. I doubt the team would have put Rodgers back in if he had a tear or partial tear in a ligament. Could be a bruise or some loose or torn cartridge?
Yea…i’m guessing he went in, got an MRI done, and they didn’t see any structural damage or tears so they let him go back in.
Holy fuck…. what a ride that was. Offense and defense looked like total garbage in the first half. Mack is a total monster. Clay didn’t do much other than miss tackles, get tackled by his own guy, and rough the passer at the absolute worst moment. Great job Bud!
But then in the second half Rodgers pulled another miracle out of his top hat, on a gimp leg. THAT is why you pay the man.
That’s what I noted at the end of the tirth quarter. And then he made that stupid out of frustration rushing the passer faul. Is Martinez realy the only one who can tackle consistantly? With Janis gone there is no one right in front of the punt returner when he is about to catch the ball. Now they ar at least 20 yards back. And I was thinking Zook would be gone after a year.
But I’m happy with the win.
