Look. Let’s be honest. When one personnel exec moves from a team and becomes the general manager of another team, he’s bound to loves the players he loved with the first team.
Just look at John Dorsey in Cleveland.
While he may be somewhat of a joke at this point, Reggie McKenzie is the general manager of the Oakland Raiders. Former Packers’ exec. Jon Gruden — Chucky — former assistant coach under The Walrus.
Who do they look to? The Green Bay Packers.
It’s the way they know, the way they came up and the way they believe will make them successful… with maybe some tweaks to accommodate their own style.
A number of players have been picked up by the Raiders and McKenzie after being released by the Packers. The most prominent of those is receiver Jordy Nelson.
But coaches have also flowed to Oakland from Green Bay. The most prominent of those is former offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett. He’s now the receivers coach for the Raiders.
And not surprisingly, a lot of players on the Packers still love those guys.

And we can’t forget about our boy Jordo!
