Holy crap, this is great.
I will admit, I watch Colin Cowherd’s show on FS1 on a somewhat regular basis. As far as hot takers go, he’s about the most tolerable. More importantly, he gets better guests and he’s good at interviewing them. Better than other hot takers. That’s really the important part.
Cowherd’s takes are all over the goddam place, though. And as you probably know, his takes on Aaron Rodgers are no exception. One day he loves the guy. Another day he’s overrated.
But Freezing Cold Takes has compiled a list of Cowherd takes on Rodgers, which exposes just what a dumbass he is when it comes to hot takes.
Check this out.
Click on the link to their tweet. There are four actual image comparisons where Cowherd contradicts himself.
First Rodgers is Tony Romo. Then he’s Jay Cutler. Then he’s worse than Matt Stafford. Then he’s John Elway.
In February, Rodgers had more leverage than any American athlete. In April, he had no leverage.
In 2016, Rodgers was in the late teens in Cowherd’s quarterback rankings. A year later he was top 10 all time.
In 2015, Rodgers was LeBron James. A year later, he was Kobe Bryant.
It goes on.
Cowherd should really just interview people who have actually played the sport he’s talking about. As I said, I believe he’s good at that. But that will never happen. This is the era of HOT TAKES!
How else could Skip Bayless actually have a job as anything other than a factory worker or as Jerry Jones’ fluffer?
