2018 Packers 53-Man Roster Projection

The Green Bay Packers will start axing players soon. Here’s what our 53-man roster looks like.

QB (3) — Aaron Rodgers, DeShone Kizer, Tim Boyle

Barring an outside addition, this position appears pretty well set.

RB (2) — Jamaal Williams, Ty Montgomery

Aaron Jones is suspended to open the season, so he won’t count for a roster spot.

FB (1) — Aaron Ripkowski

Mike McCarthy loves his fullbacks.

WR (6) — Davante Adams, Randall Cobb, Geronimo Allison, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Jake Kumerow, J’Mon Moore

Two tough cuts here, with Trevor Davis and Equanimeous St. Brown.

TE (4) — Jimmy Graham, Marcedes Lewis, Lance Kendricks, Robert Tonyan

I could see Kendricks going in favor of Tonyan. Instead, I have the Packers keeping them both.

OL (9) — David Bakhtiari, Bryan Bulaga, Lane Taylor, Justin McCray, Corey Linsley, Kyle Murphy, Jason Spriggs, Lucas Patrick, Adam Pankey

I could really see the Packers bringing in someone from the outside here. Their backup offensive lineman have not played well.

DL (6) — Mike Daniels, Kenny Clark, Muhammad Wilkerson, Dean Lowry, Montravius Adams, James Looney

I don’t necessarily know that Looney deserves to stick, but the Packers typically go heavy at this position.

OLB (5) — Nick Perry, Clay Matthews, Reggie Gilbert, Kyler Fackrell, Vince Biegel

Vince Biegel is one of my last guys on.

ILB (4) — Blake Martinez, Oren Burks, Ahmad Thomas, Antonio Morrison

Could the Packers release Morrison even thought they just traded for him? That’s what I had to ponder here.

CB (6) — Tramon Williams, Kevin King, Davon House, Jaire Alexander, Josh Jackson, Quinten Rollins

Rollins is one of my last on as well. I only have him sticking because of his previous starting experience.

S (4) — Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Kentrell Brice, Josh Jones, Jermaine Whitehead

I could see the Packers going with just three safeties, but I went with Whitehead over Marwin Evans.

ST (3) Mason Crosby, JK Scott, Hunter Bradley

These guys are pretty obvious.

Quentin Rollins??! Starting experience be damned, he’s got way more sucking experience.

Please keep Kumerow over Goodson, Rollins, and St Brown. In other news Jeff Janis was cut by the Browns.

And over Davis of course. Someone tell me the last time Davis caught a pass in a regular season game….yeah that’s what I thought.

Beigel is a waste of time. Good hustle, but doesn’t cut it. Linebackers are weak. O line needs help too. Gute has really missed [email protected]!

You can’t fix years worth of Ted’s mistakes in a matter of a few months and one draft.

Linebackers are poor. Burks out against Bears. Burks has missed valuable time for real games. Vikes the second game! Our linebackers will be eaten alive. Truth.

A new GM, A new Defensive coordinator, and a new Offensive coordinator. Philbin may agree in most part with MM on the type of offensive roster he would like to see, however Philbin is going to have some difference of opinion on how the offense was structured in the past.

Pettine is going to want to build the defensive roster to fit his defense the way he wants to see it. I would think MM would give in on some points with his new coordinators. Probably more so to Pettine otherwise why the hell hire him and fire Capers.

Gutekunst is going to want to put his stamp on the Packers as soon as possible. I agree with Cheese it can’t be done in one draft and year. I will, however be suprised if some of TTs players with short duration contracts are not released or traded and replaced with Gutekunst guys.
