I really liked Josh Rosen coming out of UCLA. I thought he was the best quarterback the draft. He ended up going at No. 10 to the Arizona Cardinals.
Before the draft, Rosen worked out with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. It seems they formed a bit of a relationship. Not surprising, as some have said the two players have similar personalities.
When asked about Rodgers, Rosen called him “the dude.”
“He has been awesome. I look up to him as a player, and I think the way he conducts himself on and off the field is very admirable,” Rosen said. “I think the best word that I use to describe him, and what I try to emulate is, he’s a ‘dude.’ He’s just the dude. When he’s walking around the building or whatever he’s doing, you just know he’s that guy. When he steps into the huddle at a critical moment in a late-game [situation] at the end of the year, you know that he’s stepping into that huddle and he’s telling his guys he’s going to go down and score a touchdown and that they’re all going to believe him, because he’s that dude.”
I find it somewhat amusing that he went with “the dude,” rather than “the man.”
That’s mostly because Rodgers wore The Dude’s sweater during a press conference a couple seasons ago.
The dude, indeed.
He abides, man.
Riveting.
I think Darnold will still end up being the best QB, although Rosen will be a close second. Josh Allen is going to bust so hard
