We put very little weight on the NFL Network’s Top 100 player countdown. It’s something of a popularity contest, since it’s voted on by the players. However, we did find it interesting that Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams came in at No. 45 this year.
He was just outside the top 100 last year, at No. 101. Adams had pretty much the same season in 2017 and 2018. So what changed?
It’s certainly possible that guys took note that Adams was the only guy who could make plays with Brett Hundley at quarterback.
Here’s another thing that’s interesting. Adams’ video presentation is pretty much only teammates talking about how good he is. Typically, you get guys from another team, maybe that go against this particular individual, talking about the player.
I don’t know. Maybe only Packers voted for Adams.

there were times last year when adams was soo good last season, that i would not have wanted another receiver instead of him. 2 yrs ago, when rodgers was in a ten game slump till halfway through that season, prior to the “run the table”‘ laughable at the time, i thought adams should be cut. he was athletic as hell, but could not catch. i dont know how he all if a sudden became a good catcher, but he did. good job davante. i am glad i didnt give my jersey of yours to goodwill now.
