Green Bay Packers receiver Trevor Davis won’t be going to jail. That’s the good news if you’re Davis.
Davis was arrested at LAX earlier this month for making a joke about having explosives in his carry-on.
Smooth move, Ex-Lax.
However, Davis isn’t going to be charged after meeting with the Los Angeles city attorney on Thursday.
Let’s get to Demovsky, who, if you haven’t figured it out by now, will only have a single name in these environs. Like Cher. Or Madonna.

I frankly don’t even remember the other part of his name anymore…
City attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said Davis appeared at an informal hearing in the city attorney’s office, and although it has up to one year to file changes, he did not expect any further action.
So that’s the good news.
It’s also probably good that Davis has been a full participant in the Packers’ offseason activities.
And there’s no bad news yet, but let’s think about this. Trevor Davis has eight frickin’ receptions for 94 yards in his two-year NFL career. Does that sound like a guy you’re going to keep around?
That says Aaron Rodgers does not trust Trevor Davis. It also says Fat Mike does not give Trevor Davis any playing time.
That’s going to change? Not bloody likely.
Davis did establish himself as the Packers’ No. 1 kick and punt returner in 2017. That’s most likely the only thing that’s going to get him a roster spot in 2018 — if he proves to be head and shoulders above the rest in those two departments.
