The Green Bay Packers are going to pick over the free agent cornerback scrap heap, alright. The Packers will reportedly have Delvin Breaux in for a visit.
Delvin Breaux says he has visits with Packers and Niners upcoming. Already met with Broncos and Patriots, he says.

If you’re not familiar with Breaux, we won’t blame you. He has played in the Gridiron Developmental Football League, Arena Football League and Canadian Football League. In 2015, he joined the New Orleans Saints.
However, Breaux hasn’t played since the 2016 season and then he only played six games. He suffered both a broken fibula and a shoulder injury that ultimately landed him on injured reserve that season. In August of 2017, Breaux fractured his fibula again, was initially misdiagnosed, and then went on injured reserve in September.
This has been an interesting journey, no doubt.
So let’s look at Breaux’s one full season of action, 2015.
In 16 games, all of which he started, Breaux had 45 tackles, three interceptions and 19 passes defended. He’ll be 29 in October, so still may have some decent years in him yet, providing he can stay healthy.
You know the guy isn’t going to cost much. In fact, we’d expect him to get an incentive-laden deal. Someone like Breaux is certainly worth taking a flyer on. Like I’ve said before — the Packers should sign every cornerback they can afford and then let them fight it out for roster spots like it’s a goddam battle royal.
They’re bound to find someone serviceable in the group.
What the hell sign him! I’m convinced on paper we could have the best rag tag CBs ever assembled on one team and that they somehow will get the job done.
